tonebone 0
New mka xn that i put the low recoil spring in to fire the Walmart 1200 fps stuff. Using factory 10rd and 5rd mags.i can shoot 5 Rd with minimal ftf/fte. The 10rd ftf/fte very frequently. Do you think I the 10rd mag needs adjusting, or should I just shoot the larger fps stuff and call it a day. Thanks in advance for your help. Tonebone
compshootfl 40
Stick with Winchester AA 1250/1300 fps...you will be happy.
Flatland Shooter 22
Remington Gun Club and Remington STS 1-1/8 oz 1200 fps should work once your gun is broken in. And once its really broken in, you should not have problems with the 1145 fps stuff.

tonebone 0
Much better response with winchester 1325 fps. 5rd mags without failure. 10rd mag would ftf/fte if more than 5 rounds loaded in mag. If I run high brass rounds, no failures with either mag. Both mag feed lips set approx the same.im wondering about the 10rd spring. Although it feeds high brass. I have 100's of rounds through this thing,it's been stripped and lubed many times. It is an excellent shooter if I stick to high brass, any comments on Salem6 kit to change a 5rd mag to a 10rd. Or can I just replace the spring in my factory 10rd? Thanks in advance for your advice... Flatland Shooter 22
Firebird Precision has several YouTube videos on how to convert a 5 rd magazine to 15 rd magazine with their adapter and a Saiga 12 magazine. On one of the videos is a nice section on tuning the feed lips of MKA magazines. Give it a look see. Bill
tonebone 0
Ok....I massaged my factory 10rd mag and follower to fire birds suggestions. Gotta get time to shoot/test now. Hope this makes this gun reliable so I can start some personal modifications next.
toothandnail 275
We do not recommend a LP spring in a new SG. Many times it will exhibit, many of the problems you are seeing. FTF is the main one IMO a new gun needs at least 100 rnds of break-in ammo, before using the LP spring.
tonebone 0
What is the biggest load I could expect to use with the low recoil spring without damaging the gun. And what damage would occur if I did so?
tonebone 0
Got time to shoot today. Winchester AA 1250's, massaged magazine with no failures X2 magazines. Then gun became a single shot gun. Pull trigger with a click. Tore it down and didn't notice anything different. What am I missing?
