Russian Tac Nuke Detonated in Ukraine?

Recommended Posts

True, the source isn't the greatest, but it looks like the lid's firmly on this. There are several versions of what happened. A simple search will turn up at least three on the 1st page alone.

A LOT of them call it conventional. ....but with BRIGHT, WHITE flash?

It may be a standard non-nuke munition, but it sure looked like about a 5 or 10 kiloton nuclear blast filmed from ~8 miles away, according to the time it took for the sound to reach the camera.

It walks like a duck. It sounds like a duck....

those grad rockets that's been popular on both sides, the spec on it, 150#s of solid rocket engine and 50# of tnt charge. Typical load is 40 rockets. So for one complect it's already 6000 of solid rocket fuel and 2000 #s (1000 or 1 kilo tonne of TNT) Direct hit into it from another grad rocket and boom, instant detonation.

Ukis may have some intelligence about a large cache of these flowing from mother russia, may be rebels got a large shipment of "humanitarian aid" and parked it in one place.

these have been used a lot and with an offensive stirring up, I don't see it unusual to have them in one place, easily one small a-bomb worth (those were really small bombs)

There was a vid from Rus news yesterday, it showed the crater, it's about 100 meters (yards) x 100 meter, trees around snapped and charred.

There are also many photos and vids of zone strikes where only few grad rockets hit. Everything just burns, from flesh to metal, literally just skeletons left of people. 100s of rockets with solid fuel engines going off in an instant, yes, very big boom.

yet another 60's technology killing people efficiently, today.

Also camera recording at night will play tricks with image brightness adjustment and will pick up infrared differently. What camera records is not what eye typically sees.

...IF it was reported. Let's hope it wasn't a nuke. Putin's scary enough as it is!

If you think the Ukrainian gov is somehow better or different youre sadly mistaken. The only real difference between the two are the name. Same group of people, same religion, same mentality. The last Ukrainian president was just as democratic as the one before and the one after. If they want to be in the EU or part of NATO its only because it benefits them personally. Someone somewhere is getting a payoff. And if you think they are so good read about the new gov kidnapping people, usually homeless and drunks of the streets of kiev so they can dress them in Russian military clothes and pass them off as soldiers in a prisoner exchanges.

I never said they were better or different.  You need to read for comprehension without adding your own spin.

Sorry Obama and Biden, the democrats will never get the Ukraine for it's virgin oil fields. You will never frack them. Your son was sent over by a huge corporatoion Biden, that corporation is now impotent.

Sorry NATO, Russia would rater launch every nuke it has before giving you their naval port in the Ukraine.

Sorry Germay and France, you will not be able to rape the Ukraine like you did to other small European (communist) Unions in order to pay for your disgusting welfare state.

Sorry to past members of the once great CIA, your leadership has been infiltrated by communists and you are now impotent because of your political agenda. You really fucked up over there.

Let's take off the tinfoil. The radiation plume from a nuke would be detected for thousands of miles. You can't cover that shit up.

And obviously Russia could roll over the Ukraine in 2 days with conventional forces. There isn't one rational or irrational reason to pop a nuclear cap.

Wow, just wow. You think that Yanuk (Putin's fellator puppet just like puppet's in other former republic) is the same as new .gov? I don't think that new .gov are angels, but different.

Russia's first response was to label interrim head of state Yatsenyuk as a nazi, spreading 'shopped photos of him in SS uniform etc. He is f-ing Jewish for Abraham's sake! Russia waged an excellent propaganda campaign both on the web and in press.

With borders opening up, many younger people don't want to live in the commie shithole that Russia is to this day. West isn't perfect, but miles freer that Putin's Russia.

Barry doesn't even know what Ukraine is and US was completely lost on how to deal with unrests in 2013. People are sick and tired of corruption and commie bullshit pushed over KGB Putin and his cronies to the rest of the region.

US isn't even close to its former glory of the cold war and Barry is less 1% of any former president in the 20th century, probably less. The hole idea that Barry contemplates some complicated deals on conquest of Ukraine makes me laugh.

Russia would not launch every nuke. Their sorry ass economy is based on oil that's tanking. Like over 50% of their economy is oil based, because that's all those drunks are capable of, much like camelhumpers of Arabia, selling shit under their feet.

France and Germany are hooked on gas, like 10-20% of it coming from Russia. They won't say much.

Russia could take Ukraine in the time it takes to drive across it.

That would be a little Too obvious...better to have the myth that rebels are at fault.

We have a number of ways to detect any nuclear detonation, it could not go unnoticed for a minute

Boris seems to have an accurate opinion on this

Holy shit! Have you been over there lately? I was there last May. That port has been wanted by Nato for many, many years and will not be given up. Our propaganda was a million times worse as there were operatives in the area who paid people to protest and start shit with the kiddos on the western side of the state. The protesters are about like our uber liberal kids in college here. Did you happen to notice Biden's son is working for Burisma oil now?

France and Germany are the two biggest whores of the European Union, a communist organization that sluts out countries to support it's welfare state. The gas you are talking about supports the eastern commie block countries and only a small part of it gets to germany and france. They make their money on taxing countries all to hell and stealing their resources when they sign up for the wonderful EU. Somebody has to pay for their greek misfit and other social programs. Communism is like a virus that must spread or die.

You drank the US propaganda for sure. If this is your homeland, you will know what the Ukraine translates to and it's role over they decades. Want a nuclear war? Try to take the port of Sevastopol.

If you guys really buy this propaganda about Ukrainians kidnapping BOMZh (homeless) and dressing them up as Russian soldier, you'd love this site:

http://lostivan.com/

Real Russians with links to their accounts, getting suckered or sent to Ukraine and with photos of the same people dispatched or maimed later.

Politics aside, it's a shame and travesty to send soldiers to fight clandestine wars then quietly bury them at dawn with least noise of publicity. To threaten their mothers with loss of benefits to keep up the lies and propaganda. Putin will burn in hell for this.

I was eating at McDonalds on Maidan few months before unrests in 2013, I have relatives in Kiev and in other parts of Ukraine and Russia, some of them retired and some active military. As an x-soviet, I know what propaganda is and I talk to some relatives on weekly basis.

Western Ukraine is the state of its own, even in the glorious Soviet days people hated Moskovite shit. No matter how many people they killed there, how many deported and how many tortured in Gulag's. Ask me how I know. Western Ukraine will always resist and will never want to be "brothers" with Moskovites.

Keep in mind the difference of Russian and Moscovite, because nothing good for Ukraine ever came from Moscow.

I had seen changes in Ukraine over the years since 1991 and I can see younger people as the driving force without nostalgia for Soviet times and who do not understand why they need to hate West. Ukraine was first to remove visas for traveling Americans while Russia is still the same Soviet Union where your laggage has to go through customs in order to LEAVE the country.

Western companies are always on a lookout for profits and connections, no doubt about that. What Putin offers from the other side is pure Zombie Soviet Union with puppet states like Belorussia and Kazhakstan and others.

Look at Baltic states. They are doing OK.

There have been several of these large-scale explosions since the Ukraine biz hit. Earlier this summer there was a huge one at the Donetsk airport when artillery scored a hit on a temporary munitions cache and fuel depot.

As Darth Saigus said, it would be real hard to hide proof by means of radiation readings, and the airport and the area around it would have become immediately less appealing as a point of conflict, which it did not.

It is a clandestine war for the control of the Ukraine for it's ports tax base and resources. The Communist EU vs. Socialist Russia.

Nobody wants the Ukranian people as they are a burden and owe a metric shit ton of money. They only want the land.

It's not funny how stereotypical and far from reality you are (no offense, please).

To start with, let's stay clear of the Russian Propaganda channels, such as RT, SputnikNews, NTV, Rossiya24 and like.

Ukrainians suffered greatly for centuries.

Orange Revolution of 2004 followed 1st Maidan and resulted in election of President Yushchenko. Unfortunately, Russian meddling, local corruption, protectionism, dependency on Russian resources, and lack of progressive reform chocked the movement.

By 2013, cronyism and corruption reached unbearable limits and when compared to the quality of lifestyle of its neighbors (Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary) and success of former USSR "comrades" in Baltics (Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia), there was very little needed to spark the "Maidan-2" in November of 2013.

And when pro-Russian bloody regime of Yanukovich fired its first round and first life was lost, gloves flew off.

And going back to the original topic: no, it wasn't a tactical nuke, as likely you know already.
"Bird" said that Ukrainians hit major militants' ammunition depot, which contained huge "fresh" shipment of Russian rockets and "smart" weapons.Another version:
"On Sunday, a strong explosion rocked what the website for the city of Donetsk referred to as a chemical goods plant.

However, Dmytro Yarosh, a Ukrainian lawmaker and Right Sector battalion commander, wrote on Facebook that Ukrainian artillery hit a warehouse containing BM-21 GRAD rocket launchers. On Monday, a European diplomat echoed the claim, telling CNN's Nick Paton Walsh that the facility was probably an arms depot or factory in a separatist-held area of Donetsk.

Buildings in the area were damaged in the Sunday blast, including homes, but no casualties have been reported.

Eduard Basurin, deputy defense minister of the rebel Donetsk People's Republic, accused Ukraine of carrying out an attack that caused the explosion.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry wouldn't say if the blast was the result of an attack by its military."

I don't like it personally, you got a family where some are earners and some are slackers, feeding from the same checking account.

I think that Ukraine should self-determine with whom they want to trade on an open market and not be bound by some economic treaty creating exclusive/ convoluted schemes that forces to trade with Russia only in exchange for favorable gas credits. I'm for Ukrainians to be able to make their choice.

DingleBarry will do nothing to help Ukraine.

I don't know what deal Barry has with Russians, because they have done nothing but put sticks into US spokes, undermining US interests (however misguided) at every turn.

US, Russia, China are major arms traders. Russia has a lot of former cold war allies that they still support both openly and covertly by providing arms and guidance. Putin is openly anti-West, anti-US. Meanwhile the whole "reset" with Russia is total bullshit. I am not advocating war, but for f-s sake we know that SA paid Barry's Harvard tuition and he got a whole lot of "muslim advisors" around him, but WTF he needs to get in bed with Putin?

If a nuke goes off, ANY international regulatory body or environmental protection agency capable of monitoring atmospheric radiation will know within hours, at the most.

Until and unless I see hard evidence that such organizations are detecting increased atmospheric radiation - it's gotta be a large conventional explosion.

Looking at the videos a few more times - doesn't look even remotely like what I'm used to seeing in nuclear detonation test videos - and I'm talking early low-yield nukes, in the same class as a modern Russian tactical nuke.

Trinity, our very first test, was a yield of about 20 kilotons:

The explosions in the videos in this thread look to be a couple of orders of magnitude smaller. Yeah, a big conventional explosion, scary as hell and not something you'd want to be anywhere near - but nothing on the scale of a nuclear detonation.

Might have been that fuel air bomb the Russians have.  It'll do the same damage as a BLU-82, and BLU-82's look like small tactical nukes going off.  Last use of those was against the Chechens.

A nuke would make a lot of world media noise and be awfully hard to conceal.

Russians brought Buratino systems and generous number of supplies in to assist pro-russian militants and their own covert "operators" in eastern Ukraine.
