Sneak 81
I never gave the 5.45 any thought until I did some research. I know it doesn't fragment, but I like how it tumbles. My local shop has a VEPR 5.45 for $899 + tax, they've had it for 2 months. (only place I've found one now). Is the better build worth the extra price (vs WASR or AK-74)? Is the 5.45 even a practical round to get into at this point?
DLT 1,646
It's a fine round and rifle. Considering the uncertainty of today's world and that dude and his silly pen, I wouldn't label any firearm unpractical. My 2 cents. Spacehog 2,218
Sneak, if you are interested, I have a NIB 5.45 VEPR that I am selling. I did refinish the wood and remove the pinned on thread protector to reveal the threads. Other than that it is new, unfired, and in perfect condition. I'll sell it for $ 750, which is what I have in it with the transfer fees. PM if you are interested.

Sim_Player 1,939
The surplus ammo is currently still available. I don't see it going away anytime soon. Enjoy the rifle! Spacehog does awesome work! The surplus ammo is currently still available. I don't see the round going away anytime soon. Enjoy the rifle!
