SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_9/440167_Range_Report_and_First_Impressions_of_PTR_32_KFR_Gen_2.html This guy does an in-depth review of mag compatibility. Like I say, take it with a grain of salt.
XD45 7,124
That is a data point. The test seems valid on it's face. Other tests will either confirm a design issue or show that the problems are specific to that rifle. Atlantic says they tested many magazines without problems other than bho mags. That is another data point. Also interesting to note is that both Atlantic and PTR are paying attention and want to make it right. Spartacus 1,619
Watching how this plays out as I'm interested in this rifle. Hopefully it's a simple issue to correct or maybe even a break-in issue. I've seen the warnings not to use the BHO mags..... Anybody know if the BHO mags possibly cause any damage to the rifle/mag in use, or if they simply don't run well?
XD45 7,124
The 12.5" model is sick. Put a collapsing stock on that and you got pure sex. Might not be able to resist another stamp. Damn.
SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
And put the metal lower on it . The metal lower is a HUGE improvement imho. The 1 piece polymer lower/ handgrip sucks on these rifles. I put a metal hand guard , metal lower, HK shelf grip, and collapsable stock on my 91. I would do the same thing to the 32…... I hate plastic.
XD45 7,124
Here's a little tease. At 1:36 he shoots the PTR32. Check the ejection. Edited April 4, 2015 by Darth Saigus
JDeko 792
I guess I'm a weirdo since I mostly like wood furniture [Dark Flat Earth if I have to go poly].
JESS1344 508
Here's a little tease. At 1:36 he shoots the PTR32. Check the ejection. DARTH, WOW, JUST BARELY 6-8", IF I'M SEEING THAT CORRECTLY. THOUGHT HK'S REALLY FLUNG THE BRASS. ARE THESE CHAMBERS FLUTED? JESS1344
XD45 7,124
Another brief shot of the PTR32 firing. 3 shots at the start of the vid. Again at 6:46. Ejection looks good. Edited April 4, 2015 by Darth Saigus
SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
just buy the damn thing already
XD45 7,124
I'm still hoping it sucks like the 556xi. Then I won't have to buy it.
SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
I'll pick one up next year, I like the fact that I can interchange everything from my 91 to this rifle. well everything except the mags of course. I would be very surprised if this rifle sucks. PTR builds top of the line stuff.
Garys4598 1,065
Did someone say PTR-32??? Here's mine. . . I've had her for several years now and I luv her to death! She may be a bit heavy, but she's wonderfully consistent and tight with her POI.
XD45 7,124
After seeing this video I'm not that interested. It really is too big for a x39 rifle. And the mag compatibility issue really kills my want. Edited May 27, 2015 by Darth Saigus
SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
I see the price is coming down a wee bit. If it ever hits the magic number of $899….I will most certainly buy one. PTR's are super nice guns.
XD45 7,124
I see the price is coming down a wee bit. If it ever hits the magic number of $899….I will most certainly buy one. PTR's are super nice guns. Down to $919 at Atlantic. You may soon have to make a decision. As I said before I'm over my want of the 32 but my biggest complaint about the 91 has been fixed. PTR is now making them with a proper paddle mag release. So now what excuse do I have not to buy one? Oh yeah, 7.62 ammo is too expensive. I have 3 7.62 rifles now that I almost never shoot. SgtRaven 531
Another one in the family. Quite pricey for a truck gun, but I love the concept: PTR 203 32 GEN II 7.62X39 8.5 MP5 HG Black 30rd https://www.classicfirearms.com/ptr-203-32-gen-ii-762x39-85?utm_source=bm23&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Image+-+https://www.classicfirearms.com/ptr-203-32-gen-ii-762x39-85&utm_content=The+MKE+Z-5P+9mm+PSB...+The+Most+Recent+Reason+Clint's+Wife+Is+Mad+At+Him&utm_campaign=2018-09-05_RollerLockPistols&_bta_tid=42779556455476413427172220914768076432110586386008541840919021685629863281372629482732168824118882850055
