So ..the chrony came in the mail today..And i made a little unboxing video...In another few weeks i will have some test results for you guys on the .338 federal SBR

Both are nice. I've really been wanting a prochrono for a couple of years.

i just tested it out in my backyard with my sons pellet gun..its actually pretty accurate I was getting consistent shots averaging around 1-4fps difference on a spring loaded pellet gun

Those are known good. Your kind is apparently fairly picky about ambient light.  A lot of people make them less finicky by adding some LEDs to  a hoop where the V rods go.

 

I bought a pocket chrono for paintball years ago that is really good, but now I wish I had spent that money on one that would have worked for firearms too.

you are correct about It being picky about light..everytime the clouds would cover up the sun ..it gave me an error message..but other than that everything else worked out to be great

both...a little bit of hunting and recreational ..mostly range use and another one to hang on my wall
