Obama's Iranian 'peace' partners endorsed nuclear EMP attack on U.S., docs say

While translating a secret Iranian military handbook, U.S. defense experts learned that higher-ups in the Iranian military endorsed a plan that called for nuclear EMP strikes against the United States, the Washington Examiner reported Thursday. The issue, Paul Bedard said, was recently raised when Peter Vincent Pry published an op-ed warning ofIran's threat to free nations around the world.

"Iran armed with nuclear missiles poses an unprecedented threat to global civilization," he wrote at Arutz Sheva. "One nuclear warhead detonated at high-altitude over the United States would blackout the national electric grid and other life sustaining critical infrastructures for months or years by means of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP)."

A year-long blackout, he added, would result in the death of 90 percent of all Americans from chaos and starvation. Armed with a small number of nuclear missiles, he said, Iran can "threaten the existence of modernity and be the death knell for Western principles of international law, humanism and freedom."

Yet this is the regime Obama and his administration claims is a much better partner than Israel, the only stable democracy in the region. Pry says the fact that a "rogue state like Iran can inflict Assured Destruction on the United States using a single warhead, cancels the credibility of U.S. security guarantees and erodes alliance relationships that are the foundations of the present benign international system."

Worse yet, he said, by including Russia and China in the negotiations, "the West may well be signing its own epitaph." The reason, he explained, is that both Russia and China would benefit from global chaos and the extinction of the United States.

Russia and China are "not our friends," he added. Nor do they share the U.S. vision of a stable, peaceful world order.

"The U.S. needs to protect its electric grid and other critical infrastructures from EMP by hardening, beef-up National Missile Defense, modernize the U.S. nuclear deterrent, and support any popular revolution for regime change in Iran," Pry added. "The Congress and the White House have both neglected to take these prudent steps, vital to the survival of the United States, for years."

But it seems that Obama simply wants to punish Israel and secure a deal with Iran, no matter how bad it will be. Moreover,Breitbart.com added, Obama appears ready to subvert the Constitution to get his way.

According to Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, the agreement will “not be a bilateral agreement between Iran and the U.S., but rather one that will be concluded with the participation of five other countries, including all permanent members of Security Council, and will also be endorsed by a Security Council resolution.” In short, Congress may not have a say in the deal. How bad is the idea? Andy McCarthy explained the "plot" at National Review.

"We do not need another treaty approved by Congress because the United States has already ratified the U.N. charter and thus agreed to honor Security Council resolutions," McCarthy explained. "We do not need new statutes because the Congress, in enacting Iran-sanctions legislation, explicitly gave the president the power to waive those sanctions. All we need is to have the Security Council issue a resolution that codifies Congress’s existing sanctions laws with Obama’s waiver. Other countries involved in the negotiations — including Germany, Russia, and China, which have increasingly lucrative trade with Iran — will then very publicly rely on the completed deal. The U.N. and its army of transnational-progressive bureaucrats and lawyers will deduce from this reliance a level of global consensus that incorporates the agreement into the hocus-pocus corpus of customary law. Maybe they’ll even get Justice Ginsburg to cite it glowingly in a Supreme Court ruling. Voila, we have a binding agreement — without any congressional input — that the United States is powerless to alter under international law."

"It is otherworldly to find an American administration conspiring against the Constitution and the Congress in cahoots with a terror-sponsoring enemy regime, with which we do not even have formal diplomatic relations, in order to pave the enemy’s way to nuclear weapons, of all things," he added. "Nevertheless, Republicans and all Americans who want to preserve our constitutional order, must stop telling themselves that we have hit a bottom beneath which Obama will not go."
