ajkaelin 0
I have a question. Do the Y-stamped Saigas still have a higher value than a regular one? I recently purchased one to do a conversion on but I wouldn't want to ruin any collector value. Thanks,
vulcan16 971
It's best if you Google your question. Edited April 8, 2015 by Jet
ajkaelin 0
Everything I find is old talk of them. There was interest in them in '08 to '10. I'm just wondering if any still cares about it or if everyone has moved on to something else. No one seems to talk about it anymore.
Nailbomb 10,221
1: phishing 2: who cares? saiga rifles are limited at this point. More attention should be placed elsewhere. Please consider contributing for more info, but don't be surprised if this is all you get.
GregM1 241
Just a cosmetic feature. Only ever appealed to a few people. Makes no difference to most since you can't add the fcg pieces.
ajkaelin 0
Well I guess that answers it. No one cares anymore. Thanks Greg. I just didn't want to mess up a collector piece with my conversion. Tony
HarvKY 72
I'm kinda surprised the OP didnt get more feedback. With the latest barrel ban Saiga's are the source now for those wanting a genuine Russian barrel. The few Saiga's floating around with the extra "Y" stamp offer a base from which someone can create a fantastic AK103/AK104 clone. Perhaps the collector type aficionados are off discussing russian minutiae elsewhere :-) Cheers Harv
Cobra 76 two 2,677
I care. I'm leaving my Y stamped x39 stock if for no other reason than I like the way it shoots and looks with the factory drag style stock on it. YMMV and all that...
Skiluvr03 24
It's funny how with the time some people make comments not answering the OP question, they could have answered it. Me, I would convert it, as it can always be converted back and I think it would be worth even more converted, but, I'm no expert on the subject, that's just my opinion. EDITED: Of course, when I say converted, I mean to make 922R Compliant, not converting that 2nd "Y" that was mentioned, of which I don't have, but wish I did, for cosmetics sakes Edited May 31, 2015 by AK Okie
