QD Side Mount and Side Folding Stock

I have a QD scope mount that attaches to the factory side rail on a S12. I currently have to remove my ace stock and side folding block to install or remove the scope mount, as it hits on the hinge. Is there a QD mount out there that slides on from the front so I don't need to remove bolts to get the QD mount off?

 

Other option would be to switch the stock to fold right instead of left, can the firearm still be used with the stock folded to the right? I don't have the shotgun hand to explore that option.

I trimmed some material off the back of the side mount on my 308. Allows the mount to get a start over the hinge and come off at an angle

An rs regulate mount clears the hinge before it slides across. Just an idea.

I use an RS Regulate too, though I still had to cut a very small amount off the inside, where it slides onto the rail (on the front). Works great.

Thanks, I'm going to try to grind some off the cheap mount I have now. Those regulate ones look good but if I have to grind anyways I'll risk the cheap one.

Our Saiga 12 Ace Folder 9.0" folds to the right.  Uses the UDT (?) side mount with a Eoteck. We did consider notching the butt stock pad slightly so the folded stock would clear the 20 round drums.  Have not done it yet.  HB of CJ (old coot)
