Pantera2 7
Is the Saiga 20 front bead sight removable? Looks like it has 2 flat sides on the bottom of it but it won't budge.
gunfun 3,931
They are pressed in and peened like a rivet on the 12s. Probably same deal with the 20. If you get it out, you will have to solder the hole shut. If you want threads, you'll have to drill and tap into the solder.
Pantera2 7
Thanks for the info. I want to put a fiber optic sight on it so I may just grind it flat.
YOT 3,743
Thanks for the info. I want to put a fiber optic sight on it so I may just grind it flat. How are you going to fix the FO sight to the gas block?
Pantera2 7
I am thinking of trying high temp RTV sealant. If that don't work I have some industrial strength double sided tape. If all else fails there's always JB weld
YOT 3,743
Won't work and won't work, and tape will definitely fail. Thread it for one of the screws that comes with the sight. You're talking about a shotgun with heavy recoil. Do it right, Bubba. I'm serious. I have done it and it needs a screw to stay put.
Lambert58 22
Thanks for the info. I want to put a fiber optic sight on it so I may just grind it flat. I added FSBs to my S20s at muzzle end then shaved the bead sight off with a dremel. You can put fiber optic sights in nthose easily and have moe accuracy because of the longer sight radius.
