Superj 0
Good Day, I took my Tromix S12 to the range today for the first time. The surefire mags locked in place with no issue. The SGM mags gave me hell and I could not seat them properly. Has anyone experienced this before?
SGL 530
These videos are geared toward different mags, but the info is applicable for all S12 magazines. Use a file instead of a dremel and go slowly, checking fit often. (the last two videos didn't embed properly for some reason but the links are clickable)
HB of CJ 1,263
Excellent video and thank you. Yep ... the SGM mags PROBABLY will need some fitting. As they come from the factory, they are too tight. Too much material, which is better than too little material. Go slow with the fitting. We used just the proper files. The hobbyists tools can take off too much too quick. Hope this helps. HB
gunfun 3,931
Funny, they aren't tight in mine. I guess that shows how much variance these guns have. I'd rather have tight and room to fit, than loose. MD CSSpecs, have it right by building that in as a feature, IMO.
HB of CJ 1,263
Yeah, the 20 rd drums required fitting also. Also the 25 rd and 4 rd 7.62x51 mags. Also the 10rd S12 mags. And the S12 2 rd upland game hunting mags. Shit ... they ALL required fitting. Actually it was not that big of deal, we filled slowly, it was fun to do with good iced tea and now they are all fit fine. They also seem to slightly loosen over use. Do not take off too much. Bad day today. Sorry. HB
G O B 3,516
Fit polymer mags to fit TIGHT, they will wear in and work well after some use.
