gunfun 3,931
Both of those are way more expensive than the fully adjustable and superb RSA which has been around for years at $65. I really don't understand why people are acting as if the new pricey AK triggers from ATK, Geissele, TacCon, etc. are some new special thing. Geiselle's is at least reasonably priced at $65, but it doesn't even claim to be short throw or particularly light.

I'll give them one more try to get it right. I don't want to take a sander to it. There have been reports of the hammers breaking. I am worried that if I remove material I'll just ruin it. I musta got mixed up somewhere. I thought the ATKs were about $120. My mistake.
mancat 2,368
Can't just press the hammer down to start the carrier insertion? It should never travel that far back with recoil spring installed, but who knows. I don't know what you're looking at.

It should never travel that far back with recoil spring installed, but who knows. I don't know what you're looking at. Not sure what you mean. The carrier passes over the hammer when cycling. I can't get the carrier past the hammer at all now. I did push the hammer down and forced the carrier over. I had to take the FCG out with the BCG in the gun because I could not get it back over. DLT 1,646
That's really strange. An AK part that doesn't fit in an AK? Could they have sent you the wrong part?
mancat 2,368
That's really strange. An AK part that doesn't fit in an AK? Could they have sent you the wrong part? As I mentioned earlier, there are some internal differences between AK-47/AKM rifles and AK-74 type rifles - Saiga rifles are based on AK-74/100 internals. A lot of US manufacturers only develop and test for the AK-47/AKM. Edited August 31, 2015 by mancat
