ChileRelleno 7,071
Same as last year I entered Nathaniel in the Junior Angler division for this tourney, since as a Jr. he can fish from shore/pier.Last year he took First Place Jr. White Trout, http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=11431.0Nathaniel fished the surf on Dauphin Island, and had a great morning.Had a blast, absolutely killed the White Trout and Whiting, managed a new PB Speck, several small Atlantic Sharpnose sharks and a few Bluefish. He caught everything on the Penn Pursuit combo he won at the same tourney last year. This year he managed to take second place White trout. He started off with a Speckled Trout and the White Trout in first, but got bumped hard all the way off the Speck board. Not overly upset since he still had a first in Whites, the swelling of his ego was hardly diminished. Then he got his bubble thoroughly popped as he was bumped to second in White... Poor kid. :Still he made out like a bandit, taking home the following prizes.Shakespeare Synergy Titanium ComboPlano 3600 Speedbag tackle systemAcademy Sports Sleeping bagFrogg Toggs Cooling TowelIgloo 1/2gal Sport JugHappy KidBubble PoppedHe even got his picture taken with one of our local News Anchor hotties and might make the news. The Speck was his personal Best and he was very proud of it... Hamming it for the camera.

HB of CJ 1,263
We loved the Cub and later Boy Scouts of America. Dad helped a lot. That plus the usual park league base ball. Cool pictures and thanks.
ChileRelleno 7,071
He is in the Cub Scouts and loves it. He will remain in Scouting as long as our church maintains a troop. I will not let him join a troop that is not church sponsored, christian, conservative and moral.

My sister takes my girls out to dinner once a week it so. She was floored as my oldest ( 7 and 2) stopped everything and said. " we have to say grace!" No other niece or nephew have ever asked ( 6 others, mine are the youngest) oldest is a daisy. Oldest is in MMA and im teaching her archery. Youngest is in gymnastics If I ever have a boy he'll be in the scouts. Keep it up, there are a few of us left.

ChileRelleno 7,071
Yeah, we gotta keep the kids busy, or idleness will breed trouble. Our kids have an array of activities, Jiu Jitsu, baseball, drama, gymnastics, dance, fishing and hunting.
THE NEW GUY 113
Good job , if we don't teach our children outdoors they will be lost in the sea of ps3 or 4 and x box . I have taken mine fishing and deer hunting all their lives . My youngest 9 got a doe when he was 7 last year he got a decent 8, but the best part he went with me during our modern gun season. I had a broken leg so I got a pass to hunt out of the truck due to being on crutches, We have about 60 acres of soybeans and out walks a monster 11 pointer. He tells me you take him dad and I will back you up. I put old thunder on him its a 270 win. he is broadside at about 150 yards . I pull the trigger and he turns and takes off [ dead on his feet ] away from us . My son pulls up his Rossi 243 and pulls the trigger and soon as he does the deer falls. He looked at me and said I quote[ I PUT HIM DOWN FOR YOU DAD HE WaS GOING TO GET AWAY ]. I said thanks son he was a nice one thanks for your help . He said no problem , we skinned him one hole in the side ,but I will never tell him im taking that to the grave. HE told me he loved me and I will never forget the big hug he gave me. We have great times hunting with hot chocolate and marshmallows. Don't blink as they will be grown before you know it . I just put my 16 year old in a tree and he calls when he kills his he hunted 2 weekends last year before he killed his monster, said he has learned all I have to offer and he always gets a big on. Enjoy your kids and teach them right. Edited August 3, 2015 by THE NEW GUY
