thomfantomas 1
so long and behold after buying my conversion kit, waiting almost 2 months for completion it's time for the range load 10 rds in the magazine rack one in the chamber...........aim for center mass......deep breath and click....wtf extract the one out of the chamber rack another....and click.......long story short the hammer wasn't giving enough force from the CCS mainspring engaging into the firing pin :/ yea.....after frustration i disassembled everything...removed the BHO replaced the mainspring with the factory one since i heard the CSS causes issues....assembled everything back...same issue granted i removed the BHO and returned the factory spring......thinking it was something to do with possibly the bolt assembly....i disassembled that and ruined my firing in spring.......would one diagnose this issue to be the hammer setting? or the tension of the firing pin spring? true story my Saiga fired flawlessly before the conversion...i don't get.....waiting on my new firing pin spring and striker pin...... David Mark 2,452
Are you sure you have the hammer in the right direction?
forsaken352 235
I've never been inside a Saiga 410 before, so this question may be irrelevant. Does it have the receiver support pin in front of the hammer? If so, is the hammer able to clear it enough to make contact with the firing pin?
YOT 3,743
Are you sure you have the hammer in the right direction? Check what Dave said.
thomfantomas 1
hammer isn't backwards.....i'm running now without the BHO and returned the factory mainspring.........ruined the firing pin spring :/ and just ordered a striker............waiting on those parts then if no luck from there i will be going back to my gunsmith.... YOT 3,743
Can you push the firing pin with your finger?
thomfantomas 1
Can you push the firing pin with your finger? it needs some extreme force for the firing pin engaging into the striker to protrude out......i don't get it?!?! that why i ordered a new firing pin spring and striker......my saiga was broken in after 100 some odd rds no more hiccups shot how it should...then this bs after conversion :/
YOT 3,743
Yeah, the firing pin souls be free. It comes out by pushing out a pin on the side of the bolt. It could be broken, which would be rare, but not unheard of.

thomfantomas 1
POSSIBLY FIXED received my new firing pin spring along with the DPH gas knob...after installation this is the outcome https://goo.gl/photos/A8LQxjYJoeapuXYy7(warning hardcore feet porn ) before removing the BHO and having the CSS mainspring installed that flat surfaced pencil wouldn't even move in the bore aiming horizontally or vertically...and after putting the actually punch inside the bore just to see its effect hahaha that thing flew across the room once i pulled the trigger...i think i'm good to go Edited September 5, 2015 by thomfantomas
