Sim_Player 1,939
Excellent video!!!! That's why I have a gun within 5 ft. most of the time. What type of rifle was that? He seemed to aim from the hip. It's hard to miss under 50'! Only a Saiga-12 would have been better! Edited September 1, 2015 by Sim_Player
JDeko 792
looked like an AR to me based on the handle on top, plus it is the most popular rifle in America after all.
sobrenegade 795
Did a helluva job. Too bad for all the damage they caused, now insurance company will jack up his rate or cancel his policy for being in a high risk business. Good thing he didn't sell firearms.

macbeau 902
Smart choice of the rifle over the pistol! I'm even happier that the cops saw things his way. I love stories with happy endings!

horatio 515
Good to see. Also a 2.26 second example of why we need larger capacity magazines. I didn't count the shots, ill try to later, but the video is a prime example that you can be attacked by more than one person. Say hello to my little friend Evl, if they had said hello to YOUR little friend ( in your avatar) I have a feeling they'd need a squeegee for the sidewalk.....

Though generally when faced with a rifle, even one with fewer round than there are people in the gang, nobody wants to be the "hero" who goes first. Criminals are cowards. Evl, if they had said hello to YOUR little friend ( in your avatar) I have a feeling they'd need a squeegee for the sidewalk..... I bet they needed one anyway, to clean up the poop on the sidewalk! evlblkwpnz 3,418
Well, I'm armed all day and there is usually a loaded rifle within a few feet of me. With all that goes on lately, I wonder how long it will take for someone to decide to get stupid here. There isn't a lot of crime in the area where I work, but broad daylight robbery is not too far out of the ordinary when shit does go down. The bank across the street got robbed 2 or 3 times by the same guy before they finally nailed him down.
David Mark 2,452
He fired 3 shots. I counted 6. Whether 3 or 6 the number he fired was enough to stop the threat. That's really all that matters.
gunfun 3,931
3 hit one of the guys. He was firing with the gun at shoulder level, but kind of punching it forward. I see people do this a lot when excited with paintball guns, airsoft, etc.* No sights, just frantic flailing at the threat. I think it is a human instinct that only goes away with practice. It makes me cringe in all the old 60s and 80s action movies when people punch as they shoot their pistols, but maybe it isn't so far from what people actually do, based on this and a number of other similar surveillance videos I have seen. *One of the real advantages of playing with toy guns is finding that you automatically behave differently when someone else is trying to get you than you do firing at a static piece of paper or steel. You also get some really good tactile feedback on how well you are behind cover. There's no substitute for having an opponent trying to shoot you, that doesn't want to get shot.
