Found this when searching for rattlesnake logo of some kind to etch on next 80% receiver, to complement the Gadsden on it. Even if it's de-venomed, a bite will still smart. Even the most docile breeds of snake can get nasty sometimes, particularly if they're hungry & you have any food smell on you. Gaps between scales? Could have been fed recently, could be slightly obese (not uncommon in pet snakes, I think my Kingsnakes are borderline obese). Only problem was that during cold weather they would wiggle up through the floor and sliver into bed with us. Just wanted to keep warm I guess. Our ER doc told me that they had to use 13 vials of crofab on a poor lady who got bit by an 8 inch baby rattler. The small ones have not "learned" to control their release of venom so when bit by one you get the whole enchlilada. Also around my parts, they have quit rattling because of the pigs.
