Progressives can have both east and west coasts and Hawaii. Conservatives will take the Gulf coast and middle North America and Alaska. Armed forces members can be split along party lines. Since the progressives hate war, we are willing to take all the evil weapons. Or, we could start population exchange programs, between the cities and country folk. Let the city slickers see where their food and freedom comes from. I don't know what someone from New York City could offer to "poor" country folks. Any attempt to confiscate our property will be met with necessary action. Should he try, he shoud be 'in fear of his safety'.
