Venezuela crushes 2,000 guns in public, plans registry of bullets

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-venezuela-crime-idUSKCN10S2I9

Venezuelan police crushed and chopped up nearly 2,000 shotguns and pistols in a Caracas city square on Wednesday, as the new interior minister relaunched a long-stalled gun control campaign in one of the world's most crime-ridden countries.
Interior Minister Nestor Reverol said the event marked the renewal of efforts to disarm Venezuelans, through a combination of seizures and a voluntary program to swap guns for electrical goods.

Venezuela has the world's second highest murder rate and the street gangs that plague its poor neighborhoods have become increasingly heavily armed in recent years, at a time when a deep recession has reduced resources available to police.
Gangs often get weapons from the police, either by stealing them or buying them from corrupt officers, experts say.
With inflation of 185 percent in 2015 and a currency collapse, police salaries have fallen far behind rising prices creating more incentives for corruption.

President Nicolas Maduro promoted Reverol this month, days after the United States accused the former anti-drugs tsar of taking bribes from cocaine traffickers.
"We are going to bring disarmament and peace," Reverol told reporters, while police officers drilled and sawed at rusty shotguns, home made pistols and some newer weapons.

Dozens were shot–four fatally–over the weekend in heavily gun controlled Chicago

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/08/22/dozens-shot-four-killed-weekend-gun-controlled-chicago/

This death and violence follows the 52 who were shot–nine fatally–during the previous weekend in Chicago.
According to ABC News, a 7-year-old girl was among the wounded. She was shot while attending “a vigil for another shooting victim.” A 36-year-old woman was also shot while attending that vigil.
At one point during the weekend — “an intense 14-hour stretch of violence that ran from Saturday into Sunday” — someone was shot in Chicago “every 33 minutes.” The Chicago Tribune reported the same portion of the weekend — “from Saturday afternoon to early Sunday” — was especially violent last weekend too. During that time alone, “five people were killed and at least 19 others were wounded.”

Forty-nine people were shot, nine fatally, two weekends ago, and “52 people were shot, seven of them fatally” the weekend before.
Breitbart News reported that this violence comes in spite of the fact that Chicago has an “assault weapons” ban, a “violence tax,” a state-imposed waiting period on gun purchases, and strict regulations on the number of gun stores allowed in the city, as well as restrictions on the locations of those stores. Yet these controls–and others like them–are not preventing criminals from acquiring guns. Rather, they simply make it difficult for law-abiding citizens to get the guns they need for self-defense.

We witnessed a similar gun control failure over the weekend in Connecticut as well. According to the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, CT has universal background checks, no “gun show loophole,” a ban on “high capacity” magazines, and a prohibition on “the transfer or possession of assault weapons.” The state also requires residents to “obtain an eligibility license” before being able to buy a handgun, long gun, or ammunition, and there is a “two-week waiting period” on long gun purchases.
Despite all those restrictions, 13 people at a Bridgeport house party were shot and wounded by “two shooters” on Sunday morning.

Common denominator? Both ruled by Democrats, imposing draconian Gun Control laws and regulations.

"Talk of gun control makes the liberals feel warm and fuzzy. However, the cold reality is that when you disarm the good guys you put them at the mercy of the bad guys. That’s what gun control does,"

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee

Another common denominator: 'hood rats, kept poor by the Dems with their welfare.

500 homicides. 9 months. 1 American city.

Chicago's 500th homicide of the year happened over Labor Day weekend, according to the Chicago Tribune. That number carries a lot of weight for the city -- not just in quantity, but in meaning: 2016 is now the deadliest year in two decades.

This popped up on the yahoo propaganda feed today...  This gives a perfect window into the mind of the enemy.

I've posted the entire thing here to keep us from increasing their click count and making ad revenue off of us evil gun owners.

If you choose not to read the whole thing, just read the bold parts (my comments in red).  And if you don't even want to do that, at least read the blue line.  That is the one thing this gash really wanted to say anyway.

http://theweek.com/articles/647296/how-smash-gun-lobby

Twelve people are shot in Chicago every day on average. The victims enter the rolls of the city's more than 500 homicides (the overwhelming majority of them shooting deaths), thousands of injuries, and vast webs of families and communities shattered by gun violence in 2016 alone.

I think a lot about Chicago's guns because I live next door; the country thinks a lot about them because "Chicago" has become shorthand for a kind of context-less chaos we fear lies just beyond our front step (where "our" means [mostly] white, middle-class news consumers). As always, the left's world revolves around racism.  Hating white people is one of the holy commandments of the libtard religion.  Furthermore, it's easier to wring our hands over Chicago than it is to grapple with the much larger, national truth: Even with its growing homicide rate, the city represents a small percentage of America's 33,000 annual firearms deaths — nearly two-thirds of which are neither mass shootings nor individual crimes but, in fact, suicides.

Thirty-three thousand is about the same number of people who live in Bozeman, Montana; three times the population of Sedona, Arizona; 10 times the population of Provincetown, Massachusetts. Every year — every single year — we accept the violent deaths of an entire town's worth of Americans. Why?

Are we heartless? Surely not — our constant grief tells me we're more often heartbroken. Are we ignorant? Maybe we were once (and I suspect most Americans still don't realize how many gun deaths are self-inflicted), but in these post-Sandy Hook, post-Orlando, post-Chiraq days, most of us possess at least a passing awareness of the issue (witness the majority of Americans who want more gun control legislation, not less.) And don't tell me it's the Second Amendment. The Constitution is and was always intended to be a living document There it is again.  The contempt for the Constitution.  At least, the parts that keep them from telling us what we can't do or must do.  — you can't yell "fire!" in a crowded theater, the three-fifths clause is null and void, and the 21st Amendment is as real as the one it repealed.

Poverty, racism, unchecked crime, and a pervasive culture of toxic masculinity You are toxic simply because you're male and haven't castrated yourself.  Hating men being another of the holy commandments..  all play key roles in the deadly churn; improved mental health services would surely save many potential suicide victims. But the foundation upon which our annual slaughter rests is one simple fact: The gun industry is exactly that — an industry.

Gun manufacturers don't make up some kind of Second Amendment honor guard. They are businesses that profit handsomely from the fear and bloody mayhem that they promote and facilitate. People make bank off dead Americans.

Gun control advocates have spent years calling on the better angels of our neighbors and politicians; we've compiled statistics and formulated Constitutional arguments; we've launched buy-back programs and conflict interventions and suicide hotlines — and each has garnered certain successes and (and this is not trivial, because where there is life, there is hope) saved lives, but none of it has worked in any larger, fundamental sense. Thirty-three thousand annual deaths later — 22,000 annual suicides later — we need to hit the gun industry and its supporters where it hurts: their wallets.

I am aware — painfully, excruciatingly aware — that this sounds naïve, Now there is finally something we agree on. or maybe just impossible. An $8 billion industry that wraps itself in the flag and pliant politicians is neither a small nor an easy target. About a third of the American public has already handed over their money; the election of a black man was enough to send gun sales through the roof, You might think this is hyperbole.  It's not.  But it is projection obviously.  They hate white people and men so why wouldn't they believe we hate black people and women?  Always the haters must label those they hate to justify their malice. and each new massacre brings another spike. There are already 300 million-some-odd guns in circulation, legally or not.

It won't be easy — but we can start. We have to start. We can name and shame industry leaders like Michael Fifer (CEO of the baldly political Ruger) Ironic, considering many of us still hate Ruger for Bill's bowing so willingly to political pressure on magazine capacity.  alongside the politicians who enable them, like Indiana governor and vice presidential candidate Mike Pence, people who profit either literally or politically from a business model that peddles death. We can start questioning the millions of dollars that the NRA's No gun-grabber diatribe is complete without calling out the NRA.  Box checked.  top executives share in salaries and other compensation in exchange for leading one of the nation's most powerful "nonprofits." Corporations, universities, and influential figures can start actively divesting from the industry, citing concerns that employees'/clients'/students'/fellow citizens' lives not be endangered by their investments; individuals can make the effort to be sure that we aren't inadvertently invested in the gun business, either.

In the meantime, we dare not abandon any of our other efforts to mitigate the appalling toll the firearms industry exacts. Even if a massive divestment campaign were launched tomorrow, none of the Chicagoans killed this year will be returned to their families.

But we have to start. The blood and anguish of our fellow citizens has been monetized and exploited long enough. We must start the process of making death a bad business to be in.

"The election of a black man was enough to send gun sales through the roof". Notice how this ankle focuses on dickheads color and mentions nothing of his well documented anti-gun stance and rhetoric. She also doesnt mention that the majority of gun violence is committed by black males on other members of their communities.

"Gun violence" is fictitious, as we all know. Let's not propagate the term.

Guns are not violent. No inanimate object can be violent. Smoke and mirrors...bate and switch.

More people are killed in cars every year than by violent use of firearms.

Homicides are spiking again in some big US cities. Chicago has seen nearly half the increase.

As a number of major American cities are reporting more homicides this year than last year, the overall number of killings in the country's biggest cities has increased in 2016 - with just one city accounting for nearly half of the total spike ...

Three cities — Baltimore, Chicago and Washington — accounted for more than half of the total increase in homicides in the country’s 25 biggest cities last year, according to the analysis, released Wednesday by the Brennan Center for Justice.

Know what they have in common? I know you do. Liberals in charge of the mayhem, but reaching for our guns to confiscate.

Homicides were up last year in some major U.S. cities. Just three cities saw most of the increase.

Liberals sometimes tell the truth.  When they think the microphones are turned off.

http://projectveritasaction.com/video/hidden-cam-dem-senate-candidate-russ-feingold-says-hillary-might-issue-executive-order-guns

When asked what Hillary Clinton would do about the Second Amendment, Feingold said without hesitation, “Well, there might be an executive order.”
During the fundraiser, O’Keefe spoke with Amy Rao. On the issue of Clinton’s gun plan, Rao said, “Hillary wants to shut it down. If we can get guns away from everyone in this country, she’ll close the loopholes, she’ll get rid of assault weapons, she will get rid of being able to buy you know, unlimited bullets, she’s gonna make all that stop.”

Yes they DO want to take our guns.  They know it.  We know it.  Only a fucking moron doesn't know it.

Only one problem

Who is going to listen to her?

You can only put so many people in jail. The is no room for the volume of people who will resist

This will be the start of the revolution and a new party (possibly the Republican Party)

Who is going to come and get the guns? They cannot enforce the laws they have.

Also where will they get the money to enforce this crap? How about the man power , police will not do it,

Military is to small and underfunded. National guard I do not think will cooperate.

They also do not know who has the guns and like drugs you can not stop ammo if there is a buck to be had.

She will not do anything is my opinion, just like Obama.

If the left wins, the Clinton Foundation will make BILLIONS off of 'gun control'. The money will disappear down the SAME hole the BILLION $$$ that was raised for a hospital in Haiti fell down. I will give even money she sells confiscated 'assault weapons' out of the back door of the White House, and Glocks from the trunk of the Presidential limo......

First they will go after businesses. They will make it impossible to make and sell sport utility rifles and magazines. Then they will make it illegal to transfer existing. People won't rise up because nobody is kicking in doors (unless you count makers and dealers).

Then they will require registration. Of course we won't register and of course they won't go door to door. But they will go hard after any organized groups. Without organization there is no resistance. Individuals are no threat to their power and will be dealt with as needed. Make a few bloody and public examples and most of us will behave.

The American people have been well prepared by the school system and the media. They have played the long game and tilled and fertilized the soil so that oppression will grow and flourish. Welcome to Amerika.

That is exactly correct and exactly what they have been doing for a long time now.

Seriously it is an old playbook, people just do not like to be reminded that in all probability it is either too late or soon will be.

Banning is preemptive confiscation. Without law enforcement cooperation, bans are useless. Without law enforcement cooperation SCOTUS decision against the 2nd are useless, but we cannot count on that... look at CA, NY,CT,NJ,IL, AND HI.

There are enough that don't care. They'll fall in line and arrest those that don't. Hope it doesn't come to that soon, but inevitably we all know it will.

No law can be enforced if the people as a whole refuse to obey.  Unfortunately the people as a whole have become dependent serfs.  Willing, even eager, to believe what Big Brother tells them in exchange for handouts, "social justice", and "rights" to other people's money.

They have a great deal in common with Hansel and Gretel, only this witch is serving coolaid and free college.  They stand in line to be next in the oven, sipping starbucks and reading facebook on their iphones.

Every day more concrete evidence comes out of hitlery's crimes.  A couple of generations ago she would have gone to prison.  This generation is going to elect her president empress.
