76 SS 3
I'm new here, had my Saiga for a while, & had the usual cheap shell cycle problem. One thing I noticed while cleaning the piston & tube is the loose threads on the cover. I'm thinking if those 3 tiny holes make enough pressure to cycle the gun, sealing the threads with Teflon tape should help considerably. Is this old news? Any thoughts? evlblkwpnz 3,418
Yes, teflon tape may help a little. It can also make it a little easier to move the regulator and keep the threads cleaner.
skullface405420 45
You guys are talking about the adjustable gas plug with the detent right? I never thought about unscrewing it and wrapping it in Teflon tape... I may just have to see if that helps mine any..
evlblkwpnz 3,418
Yes, the gas regulator aka "plug". When looking at the bottom of the regulator, wrap the tape around it clockwise. About 5 or so wraps usually does the trick.
G O B 3,516
I just use a little anti-seeze on the threads.
