sixshooter 4
I just bought the Century Arms Fury 12G (Catamount Fury). This is my first semi auto shotgun. Anyone know where I can find 10 or more round magazines? Also I was told by my local dealer that there is a conversion out there that it will take Saiga 12 Mags? Where can I find that? Also shoulder stocks like on Saiga 12s? It has a shotgun stock, I want the AR adjustable type that takes some of the recoil. Thanks Todd
gunfun 3,931
There are threads about htat here already. Search the site like this in google: site:forumsaiga12.com _your search terms_ if yours has rock and lock mags: http://www.carolinashooterssupply.com/Catamount_Fury_Magazine_Conversion_Saiga_Magazine_p/css-c12-magplate.htm If it is a Furry II with the straight insert mags: Either way you will need to be 922® compliant. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?app=core&module=search§ion=search&do=search&fromsearch=
sixshooter 4
I am in Texas, so I do not need a special permit here. But thanks for all the info. I appreciate it. Edited January 25, 2016 by sixshooter
gunfun 3,931
This had nothing to do with special permits. 922r is federal, and even applies to the messy states.
Brandon_rss18 1
What do you mean by messy states?
gunfun 3,931
It's a rolling joke with texican friends and family. I'm from the big state. Don't mess with texas: - it's messy enough already - you might get some on ya - they might be contagious - they are kind of sensitive about it Fun for the whole family, you can write another ending every time you see the phrase.
HB of CJ 1,263
I live in a messy state also. Oregon. The South, South Western and Eastern parts are OK. It is the heavily populated North Western part of Oregon that sucks totally. Bunch of liberal socialist commie fruitcakes. 922® is very well explained right here in this excellent Forum. Even I accessed and used it with our Saigas. Welcome to this Excellent Forum. In my humble opinion right there in the top 10% of all the forums. You might find the weak dorky silly looking collapsible AR15 butt stock to be a mistake. That is because it usually becomes weak, silly, dorky, ugly and whatever. A nice high quality aluminum folder (if possible) or a nice recoil reducing version might be a better choice? I do not know if I can name names here. We run 9.0" ACE (9.5?) R side folders with a big added on soft Midway recoil pad. Works for us. Welcome aboard.
InTTruder 11
The Saiga conversion means that Catamount mags no longer work.Your dealer can order 10x mags from Century (the importer IIRC). I've seen them for sale on Gunbroker.com Unless you're in a PSD or 3-gun situation, I'd opine that longer than 10x is a bit of a chore. I can swap reasonably quickly, but it is a muscle memory skill. Practice. If you're an LEO, get a KSG (15) or a good 12g semi-auto. Your firefights might be longer.
