What happens to us when Shillary runs for prez and Bernie runs as her VP we would be screwed

I'd be surprised if that happened, but then this election cycle has been one wild ride.

Personally, I think there's a good chance Hillary will be indicted - even if she wins the nomination. Even If that happens I think she'll probably continue to run.

Very risky for Bernie to jump on that train. He may end up as the front runner, or dropping out, or as a serious 3rd party candidate. I think the third option is more likely for Bernie if he's shut out by the Dems.

Excellent assessment of the Dems situation...Gives the repubs the opportunity to win this election! Edited by machinist

It's possible, though very unlikely. Sanders has been an Independent through his career and has only gone D to run in the primary, similar to how Ron Paul went R for the same reason in 2008. He's very different from the rank and file Democrats and they dislike him greatly. We'll likely see him endorsing Hillary after the convention but that's about it. His voters are mostly male, and mostly younger, while Hillary's tend to be older. She'll want both those groups supporting her, so some cooperation will be expected, though judging by what you tend to see online, many Sanders supporters are no fan of Hillary either.

Yes it has. This cycle has been absolutely thrilling. We are seeing something that has not happened in centuries. After decades of politicians - left and right alike - simply catering to their special donors, lobbyists, and industries, people all over the country are pissed off. Now with social media and the internet being completely ubiquitous, we're seeing candidates like Trump and Sanders appealing directly to their voter bases, speaking directly, without any mainstream media or party-approved filter on the things they say. And receiving funding either from their own pockets or direct donations. And these guys are only the beginning.

Personally, as a Republican I am thrilled for Trump. He's brought a ton of new blood and energy into the Republican party, despite the RNC kicking him down every chance they get, despite pretty much everyone being against him. He's bringing record numbers of voters to the polls and winning by huge sweeps. He is also bringing stunning amounts of young people out to the Republican party - it's nice seeing fellow R voters without grey hair! I think he can absolutely trash $hilldog in the general.

Nothings beyond the realm of happening anymore seeing how all the D.C. hood rats kept on voting for Marion Berry after his big crack and hooker escapade was revealed.

(Not taking into account here all of the Whites who still stood behind Bill Clinton as he made a soap opera mockery of the Oval office with all of his sexual shenanigans) f0ckers.gif .

Remember, (as racist as it might sound), large groups of hood rats and rabid libs banded together in a cause have about as much common sense as each other. :tinfoilhat:

Third party? It would be virtually impossible for him to get anywhere near Electoral Votes to win, in that scenario.

Lets not forget that Bernie's a card carrying socialist, who is running under the "D" label for convenience. I don't like his politics, but I'm amazed at the dedication and enthusiasm of his following. I could be wrong, but I don't think he'll quit if he doesn't get the Dem nomination.

I have money on it (literally) that he will simply back down and just kinda-sorta endorse Hillary after the convention just to play nice. "We're tired of hearin about your damn e-mails!" he said early on. If he was the type to run third party, he would have attacked Hillary Trump-style out the gates. Instead he played nice, he played professional, and he's going to bow out nice and nice.

He really doesn't have as much support as it looks like. His demographic support is overwhelmingly the 18-29 crowd. Which as we know, will talk about him 24/7 on social media, turn up at rallies....and not bother to register to vote in their state's closed primary. He's got extremely low turnout rates.

The Democrats would never let Sanders that close to the presidency. VP is only a heart beat away from being the decision maker. Sanders is against big banks and corporate funded politics. He will go nowhere as a democrat because that party is as corrupt as it gets and is almost totally funded by big banks and other special interests that Sanders has opposed. He should have ran as a Republican.
