evlblkwpnz 3,418
I tend to view things a bit differently than most and this is how I see it. What is one of the things about Donald Trump that is so easy to see? His pride. He is a very proud and motivated man. Some see it as a negative because, to some degree, because we have been brainwashed to feel guilty about our successes, but that pride is the American citizen's greatest asset in regards to Donald Trump. I am confident that he will not settle for simply being president and leaving a lackluster legacy. I think we will see a genuine recovery and genuine prosperity, not this stagnant falsified BS we are in currently. The foundation of the current economy is based on electronically printed money (QE1, QE2). Sure, we really don't know what to expect from him, but we know exactly what to expect from Hillary and when have we ever known what to expect from any of them? I started my first business in 2007, it did well considering the condition of the economy (a shit sammich, to be candid), what I wanted from a business changed eventually, and I closed it in 2014. I started my second business in 2010 and it has kind of muttled along and just can't quite hit the level it needs to to reflect the effort being worth it, but others are involved whose families depend on it, so we keep it open and I stay involved. It could be one hell of a heavy hitting machine if the economy truly turns, so we hold onto it for that reason as well. I started my third business in 2013 with no money and it is moving along acceptably considering that it was founded solely on faith in that mission. I am ready to see what happens when a competent businessman runs things from a business man's perspective, not a legislator or politician's perspective. I'm ready to grow my companies and make some real money. What I have been able to pay myself is not even close to the sum of my efforts and sacrifices through the years. I'd like to not be frugal for at least a few years of my life. For example, I'd like to not worry about how I will afford a new engine for my truck with 268k miles on it when its time comes. The uncertainty of the economy is always right there in the front of my mind and it has caused me to stay lean in every aspect of business and personal finances by force, for the good of the companies and the potential for the future success that they may offer me. Every significant plan or decision I make factors this shit economy in somehow. I'm tired of thinking like that because it is truly relevant. I'm tired of living frugal and scared and hope that a Trump presidency will change that. Cruz was my first pick, but he was running on empty in regards to support and I saw it coming as early as the Florida primary. I hope he runs after Trump is done. We can get the economy back with Trump and then get the Constitution back with Cruz. I'm sure some of you will disagree. For the meantime, we still have the freedom to do that. If Hillary gets in the oval office that and many other freedoms may become extinct. Stay home in November like a disgruntled child if you want to test that theory. Just saying.... YOT 3,743
What's more amusing than the dog and pony show is the dimwits that still think their vote in the general election matters to the 538 that are going to put hillary in the office. Keep up the good work. I voted for my representatives. I voted in the primary. Now it is beyond my control. Here is how much it matters to "we the people". Do the math for your town. The information should be on your county's website. In my town: Population 938, 24 Voted in the demoratic primary (Clinton won with 20), 104 Voted In the Republican primary (Trump won with 56). So, rounding up, just 13% of the towns population voted in what is the closest thing to an "election" that will matter for the presidency.
evlblkwpnz 3,418
Trust me, I know, but what more do we have? All we really have is the faith that our vote may matter. It is not much, but that is what we have to work with short of force.

G O B 3,516
Most people miss the point. Trump is NOT ONE OF THEM. A self funded poke in the eye of American Politics. He runs as a R, but his appeal is that he is neither fish nor foul. He brings people to the poles that usually stay home. I sincerely hope he keeps the landslide going.Hillary will single handedly destroy the D's. , and Trump doing a great job of shaking the crap out of the R's. If he can motivate the down ticket, and get a more moderate narrative there - while throwing every mis--deed back at Hillary (Hillary Fired) He is going to be a bigger landslide than RR. This is the beginning of the first real chance to destroy the D strangle hold on large Cities. The Cities are crumbling under the weight of the theft and deceit of the D's, and ripe for a change - something the current R's are totally incompetent to achieve. Trump is moving the R's closer to the middle. THAT is where the VOTES are.

randumbthoughts 75
I think that most of the members on this board tend to be in the 40+ crowd, so one thing to keep in mind for you guys is that Donald Trump is doing something no Republican has in a long, LONG time. He's bringing young people to the polls, and to the party. We're outnumbered. There's not relatively many of us. But we are the young right, sometimes called the "alt-right" by some. And we're sick and tired. We're sick and tired of Political Correctness that is, literally, destroying our generation, the millennial generation. We're sick of privilege checking and micro aggressions. We think you can stick your trigger warning up your ass. We're sick of revisionist history making absurd claims and forcing diversity. We're sick of being passed over for promotions and jobs because companies need to hire a multiple-minority candidate (i.e. gay & black) to shield themselves from accusations of the PC police. We're sick of being told to embrace the wonderful people of the culture of....wherever.....and then if we mention our Irish history be told "you're white, you're all the same!" We're not racist, or sexist. But when "I think the best candidate should get the job" is considered microagression, we know something has seriously gone awry. Republican Party should get on board with those movement, and embrace this fight. Many of their current voters will be dead in ten year's time. Political Correctness is the battle for my generation.

sjgusmc21 850
I like words like integrity. Yes, I am fully aware that politics and the word integrity do not go togerther, at least not as much as they should. However, how many of you heard the piece that the National Enquirer (Trumps Front Man Trash Rag Newspaper) put out about Ted Cruz's father (not to mention the hit piece on Ted Cruz having multiple affairs)? And because it received very little attention from anyone with half a brain cell, Trump had to bring it up AGAIN numerous times yesterday, just to make sure it was put out there on national TV. So those of you that say, it doesn't matter, its' no big deal, well think again. I didn't care that Bill Clinton received a blow job from a fat, stupid intern in office....but what I did care about and LOATHE, is that he LIED UNDER OATH and continued to do so... So now, lets put it in perspective: How many times has Trump made crap up about his opponents? Really think about it. What if he is the President? Think it is going to stop? Just like he is going to be 'more presidential'?

evlblkwpnz 3,418
I think the moral of the story will be that we are tired as fuck of Republican politicians saying they will take action on matters, but instead they do nothing. They have done absolutely dick since 2010 and 2014 and have demonized the few that tried, like Cruz. We give them our support and they sit idly by as the Dems make a zoo out of our country. People are just sick of it. Some are so sick of it that they will actually go vote. I can say that at least the general disappointment is motivating people to become active.
