SAW COMBAT ON GUADALCANAL, NEW GEORGIA, AND THE PHILIPPINES, LANDING AT LINGAYAN GULF, LUZON. MALARIA 7 TIMES, AND ONCE DENGUE AND MALARIA TOGETHER. FIRST DAY IN COMBAT ON THE 'CANAL, TWO MEN GOT SEPARATED FROM THE REST, AND CAPTURED BY THE JAPS. THEY WERE TAKEN TO A REAR AREA, BEATEN DAMN-NEAR TO DEATH, CASTERATED, EMASCULATED, AND THEIR GENITALS STUFFED DOWN THEIR THROATS WITH A BAYONET, BEFORE BEING BEHEADED. THE 27TH TOOK DAMN-FEW PRISONERS, THE REST OF THE WAR....... DAD WAS ONE OF THE GUYS THAT HELPED PUT THE "TROPIC LIGHTNING" LIGHTNING BOLT ON THE 25TH DIVISION'S SHOULDER PATCH. I WISH THE HISTORY CHANNEL WOULD SHOW THE FULL FOOTAGE OF THE RAPE OF NANKING, INSTEAD OF THE SANITIZED VERSION. THE JAPS OWN COMBAT CAMERAMEN TOOK GLEEFUL MOVIES OF JAP SOLDIERS PICKING UP SMALL CHILDREN AND INFANTS OFF THE STREETS, THROWING THEM UP IN THE AIR, AND CATCHING THEM ON THEIR BAYONETS................ THIS FOOTAGE, SMUGGLED OUT OF CHINA, WAS SHOWN TO OUR GUYS, WITH THE ADMONISHMENT THAT THIS IS THE KIND OF PEOPLE WE ARE GOING TO BE GOING UP AGAINST. THE JAPS WERE SO ARROGANT, THAT THEY GAVE FOOTAGE OF ALL THIS TO CHINESE FILM PROCESSORS, FOR DEVELOPING, WHO IN TURN, MADE COPIES AND SMUGGLED IT OUT TO OUR INTEL PEOPLE.
