JDeko 792
As one can see, my Saiga has no rear sling mounting point. I wish to fix this. I before purchased mounting piece [as pictured here] but it came back unattached when I sent my Saiga to get converted by Legion USA and seems to need to have the square hole that goes over the piece the screw goes into on the receiver. I'm not sure if this is a good option and/or is my screw [a standard AK pistolgrip screw] is long enough if that were on there. My second option would be something the UTG picatinny sling-swivel adapter on Amazon [not going to link to it in case that would be a rules violation]. It seems like the much easier option but I wonder if it would work well and be secure. Any advice?
Hawk451 2,230
Echo93 makes sling attach plates for under the grip. LH/RH & ambidextrous. Here's one on my SGL31: I have another on my M-85.
JDeko 792
Went on fine right away without modification?
Hawk451 2,230
Pretty much dropped right in IIRC.

I've considered making one of those for a while. Do you find it digs into your hand when shooting, or your chest when slung?
Hawk451 2,230
Really haven't had a problem either way. That's with a SAW grip on the Arsenal & M76 and later Ronin's grips 'Mongo' on the PAP. Might bite a little if you have big hands & run standard 'popsicle stick' grip?

I'd like an MD arms grip, or a self made wood one color matched to the rest, but I haven't done anything about it.
az-gunner 0
I like the general concept of the echo93 sling mount. My concern is with the sling and clamp getting in the way of the shooting hand. I would like to see the mount wrap around/up the side of the receiver a bit, to put the sling clamp higher and out of the way of the shooting hand.
