Clone Molot Competition Gas Block and RSB

Recommended Posts

I am doing a run of these by pre-order. The run is about to start and I am posting this very late in the game. If you are absolutely sure you want one of these and can send payment very quickly, please let me know by email.

Molot gave me permission to copy these a while back and sent me the set in the below picture for that purpose after I helped them with the translation and editing of their 2013 SHOT Show brochures and their Molot English Markets Catalog. The pictures are of the original Russian made parts that are being reproduced in this preorder. The production units will be in the white (unfinished) and will be very close reproductions.

What will they look like on the weapon? I stole this pic from Papazorro. Thank you Papazorro!

Details:
- Gas block/plug will be made from 302 stainless steel made in USA
- Rear sight base will be made from 4140HT 32 rockwell hardness Made in USA
- Plug will be knurled similar to the original quick cleanout plug. Remove the plug, dump out the debris, put the plug back in, and fire away. That is what the design is for. You can also remove the gas plug and drive the puck out the rear with a wooden dowel if it is to difficult to pull it out with the carrier op rod notch.
- There will be a void in the center of the top of the pic rail similar to the original.
- Rear sight will have a latch made from O1 tool steel hardened to 45 rockwell hardness. Latch will be cosmetically different as a result of it being milled vs stamped.
- all parts will be blasted and ready to Cerakote, etc., but will not be coated with a finish.
- Gas block will have pin pre-drill locations.

I am changing the evlutionz logo (much simpler and cleaner) and these will likely have it somewhere in a discreet location, most likely in the center cutout of the rails if we can make that work. No brand whoring here. I'm sure the purists will appreciate it

I do recommend install by someone who knows their way around these weapons well and can weld the rear sight base to the trunnion. I will be offering install service for these parts, but there will be a wait for it as I am already backlogged. I will be releasing pricing for the labor ASAP. Those of you who are in que to have work done by me can add install service to your Vepr 12 related order when I contact you to recap what you want done and request the weapon. I am doing the install on a weapon that is already here, so I can get an exact idea of how much shop time it takes to do it.

Parts should be ready to ship 30-60 days after the last customer's funds have been received. I was quoted far less time than that on completion, but I would rather underpromise and overdeliver. If there are tweaks needed here and there then it could delay it to some degree, but I do not expect it. I'd rather delay it than send the customer something that isn't quite as it should be. From my experience with this manufacturing source, he gets things done, he is wired for intricate detail, and is not new to manufacturing firearm parts. I am confident that the final production units will be impressive.

All parts will be shipped via USPS Priority and insured for the total replacement value. Tracking will be provided on the same day they ship.

Payment by personal check or USPS money order made payable to evlutionz LLC will be accepted. Sorry, no card payments.

How to commit to buy a gas block/plug set, rear sight base, or both:
Email me at evl@evlutionz.com and keep it simple and short. I am already very busy and do not have time to read novels (long emails). Ask questions in this thread and not by email or private message. Do not commit to buy by private message here.

I need the following info in your purchase commitment email:
What you want to commit to purchase (comp gas block, comp rear sight, or comp gas block and comp rear sight)
Your first and last name
shipping address
phone number

Pricing is as follows....

Gas block and quick clean-out plug (these are a set and not available separately)
$195 shipped

Rear sight base with gas tube latch
$195 shipped

UPDATE: This was a test run of the major external machining details (in aluminum). To be noted, the logo placement has changed and the USA will be removed since these do not contribute toward 922r compliance. Logo will be in the cutout of the rail between the first rail lugs as an effort to simply identify parts that have been made under the evlutionz name and still respect my fellow purists.
The final run units are going to look awesome!
