Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpener KO Edition

Recommended Posts

I've wanted to try one out for quite awhile and finally bought a Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpener.

I bought the Ken Onion edition on sale week before last, I've had time to get up to speed on it and absolutely love it.

Sharp is too easy, hair popping Razor sharp is easily done  and Scalpel sharp is just a matter of a quick polish and stropping.

I've screwed around with many natural/man made traditional oil stones my whole life and never been much good with them, and they take time and effort.

I've a ceramic rod sharpener that does a good and fairly quick job, but only if you like 20'/25' angle edges.

My Lansky system can get a blade razor sharp and keep it that way, but it takes practice with it to gain proficiency and is a bit of a PITA to keep switching sides.

I've always managed to keep a good edge on my blades/tools, but it's never been quick, easy or fun for me.

But this, this is so quick and easy...  I even sharpened my machetes and my wife's scissors.

My name is Chile and I wholeheartedly approve of this product.

I love the challenge. Don't make it easy, please!

Just kidding.

I've sharpened putty knives (at work) to razor sharp on concrete driveways.

I gave my onion to my father-in-law, as a gift. He promptly opened the knife and cut himself.

I'll check it out!

I'm close to purchasing one. Simply a shrunk down portable version of a belt sanding system with a guide. I utilize a

1x30 belt sander with numerous grit belts.

I like sharpening my good knives by hand, Something therapeutic about it.

What drives up a wall is all the kitchen knives, scissors, dog nail trimmers, garden shears and whatever other edged tool has been abused by family and friends that seem to always want me sharpen their shit.

I will absolutely be getting one of these things to try out.

Chile's product reviews haven't steered me wrong yet.

My wife was going to prep some chicken to cook and prepackage for future meals.

She grabbed a Cimeter knife to cut it up and she wasn't expecting what she got.
I heard her exclaim, "WOW! That's really sharp, that cuts like butter."

I just smiled and continued watching TV.

Somehow I can imagine Lorena Bobbit saying something similar.:lol:
