ChileRelleno 7,071
Finally, a week has passed and it's Saturday again... Range Day! And time to test fire the CX4 after it's mishap. Set it up, loaded one round of Federal 115gr FMJ and pulled the trigger lanyard... BANG! Everything A-OK. Loaded five rounds, Bang x 5 and good to go. Mounted my new Vortex SPARC on it, zeroed it, and let the fun and games begin. Wore out a lot of paper, several golf balls and put 250 rounds down the tube. Broke out the Saiga .308 ver.21 and put 80 rounds through it. The steel silhouettes had mud puddles under them and there were spectacular splashes and geysers as rounds ricocheted/splattered off the steel at 150, 200 and 300 yards. Nate was having fun with both the Savage 93 .22WMR and the Saiga. He was giggling like a little kid at the splashes coming from the steel. (oh wait, he is a little kid, well 11yrs'ol). He said it was like shooting water grenades.

ChileRelleno 7,071
And once again, I must give a huge shout out and thank you to... Spacehog. Thank you my friend for the incredible gift that was the customized Vepr furniture with an Adjustable Comb for my formerly troublesome Saiga ver.21. It is truly a joy to shoot now, having a solid repeatable cheek weld is invaluable for consistently accurate shooting. It garnered much notice today as we wore out the 300 yard steel with strings of aimed rapid fire... Bang! Klang/Splash! No steel for the Storm? aawww. Glad to hear it's hale and healthy, have fun! Must be nice to have a 300 yd. range to work with... *sigh* There is a 430 yard section of range, but it is only open to the public on Sundays and requires a $10. fee for an RSO to be attendance. That is because several years ago some dipshit caused thousands of dollars worth of damage by shooting up the antennae farm next door to it. It was closed for a year, so I guess we're lucky to have it at all any longer. Edited February 26, 2017 by ChileRelleno
ChileRelleno 7,071
If that weapon runs as it should and doesn't encounter any future issues I think it would be fair to call it a resilient weapon. I'd say it is resilient.

Kinda felt sick for you despite the fact that it wasn't even my firearm lol You and I both... Same feeling when my brand new XD9 broke it's slide lock lever first time shooting it. But SAI fixed that really damned quick.

G O B 3,516
^^^ More necro-thread spam. If these are real buisnesses, then Makc should bill them for the advert. , say the same as a business member ?
Ronin38 2,117
Since they're always necro-threads, I'm almost wondering if it's a former member just messing with us?
gunfun 3,931
My bet is the algorithm of the spambot is told to look for threads with high reply count, as those would have more traffic. If this is a smaller forum, older threads will tend to have high enough counts to trigger the threshold.
