HB of CJ 1,263
This subject is getting traction in other forums. Signed and signed. We will find out what kind of official response we receive from the White House. It might be time to consider dumping all of our non collectible NFA stuff? Why pay $25 grand for a beater M16 when you can either buy new or construct your own for about the cost of a good AR15 build? Be curious as to how this all plays out. This might collapse the value of NFA "shooter" collections? But ... right now, as I see it, the odds of having Congress and the President ending the entire NFA Act as slim to none. Not right now. We stand a much better chance of having other strong pro second amendment laws passed first. At the least it might be a good way of getting President Trump and Congress's attention on the Hearing Protection Act? But ... there must be some presented heavy good political mileage for Congress and the President to do so. All Oregon, US Code Laws And NFA Rules Apply.
Ronin38 2,117
Yeah, I just can't seen anyone approving public purchase of select-fire weapons, but hopefully suppressors and SBR's will be freed.

Ronin38 2,117
Do you always drive on the right side of the road, and stop for those pesky red lights? Do you always go target shooting at a range or suitable private property, or do you like to set up targets in the middle of a nice, long straightaway on the highway? Were surrounded by limits, whether you like it or not.
montec 164
Id5like to see the hpa passed and the hughes amenment overturned. Baby steps to restore our rights. Use their game against them, just little bits here and then and before we know it it will be fully restored. Edited February 20, 2017 by montec
HB of CJ 1,263
Limits? Not so much in Josephine County in SW Oregon. No Sheriff protection to speak of. Usually no local law enforcement either. The Oregon State Police may be hours away. They may or may not respond to shots fired. They may respond to confirmed reports of dead bodies. We can ignore traffic laws. No enforcement. A few do. But ... what happens? Most folks remain quite civil and polite. Amazing.

Were surrounded by limits, whether you like it or not. My Dad used to drive all over the whole road. He would say, "I pay taxes on the whole damn thing, so I'll ride wherever I want on it". Entering other lanes was a regular thing with him. It was ridiculous, but somehow I miss those days.

evlblkwpnz 3,418
He sounds a bit like the rich guy in Roadhouse. Far from financially rich, but rich in stubbornness, lol. It was really just his excuse for driving very poorly. He would say "The more you do something, the more shittin' you get at it". We worked together for 7 years at the shipyards and plants in NE FL. I look back and realize those were my "good old days". I don't know how I did it now, but I could actually sleep while he was driving. I liken it to working in a mental hospital and getting used to all of the insane people.
HB of CJ 1,263
Dad was such a bad driver nobody wanted to ride with him. Nobody could ever tell him what to do. Instant road rage. Canceled insurance. Revoked license. He drove anyway. He died non happy of old age. Sad.
saltydecimator 482
Over a quarter of a million signatures isn't shabby. F an A right cotton! That's freaking epic! Even if they say "no" we just keep creating new petitions until they fix it! ...and I can't see anyone telling me what to do. Zaaaaaaaaactly, begging for permission to un-f their previous fuckery sounds kinda silly
