I don't know how else to put it, but we have clearly been betrayed by those who ran and show-voted on repealing obamacare and I've already had about enough of it. I don't have a lot of time to be digging around for info and I was wondering if there is any indication that we might have some real conservative outsiders that will be seeking the right seats for the 2018 mid terms? I see an opportunity coming for some guys and gals who might actually do what they say and operate with integrity in the best interest of the non-moocher class citizenry. I know, it sounds like a pipe dream, but leaving these people where they are is not getting the right things done.

I feel your frustration. It is going to be brutal in 2018 for the GOP. They have done absolutely nothing. If there are some challenges in the primaries of sitting Republican lawmakers, I would vote for the challengers. The only problem is, when the GOP lose seats in a big way in 2018, they still will not have enough self awareness to understand that it was their inaction on key promises that got them thrown out by THEIR OWN BASE. They still don't understand that it was these very reasons Trump won the nomination in the first place. I am already back to buying cheap and stacking deep.

Main reasons Trump won the nomination were liberals crossing over and voting in the "R" primaries in open primary states, and the media getting behind him during the primaries, all with the goal of sticking us with the worst candidate of the entire field.  Congratulations, assholes... You sure showed us!   lmao.gif

I am so tired of listening to this shit.

We all know all politicians are a pile of crap.

They could care less about what we want just follow the money.

Local gov is no better as you have to do even more paper work to justify some little maggots job.

I am done with it.

There's certainly some RINOs that we'd be better off without, but instead of eating our own, howabout in 2018 we concentrate on knocking off democrats (at the polls, what did you think I meant)?  From what I read elsewhere, '18 has the potential to be a good year for us in the Senate due to few or no republican seats being vulnerable, and a bunch of "D" seats maybe being ripe for conversion into "R" seats.  Mainly it's a matter of putting our resources to work where they will do the most good.  And also, if we have 55 or more in the senate instead of the minimal majority we have now, then the potential for one or two senators to side with the dems in return for favors or publicity would be greatly reduced.

It is FUCKING DISGUSTING what is going on in the 'Republican' party.  Bunch of damn liars, progressive liberals, on and on and on ....just out right shit stains on humanity.  The difference between them and Democrats...at least Democrats do what they say they are going to do...'Republicans'...sugar coat it, then do exactly the opposite....aka: LIE.

Truly fucking disgusting.  To Hell with them All!

Time for special 30 day elections....call all of the republican members into the the congress and senate, and FIRE EVERY FUCKING ONE OF THEM.   Granted, there are a few like Ted Cruz that are conservatives, but they will be re-elected again.  Have each state that owns their former POS hold special 30 day elections.

I know, I know, IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.  But I can dream. Damn we need term limits...so fucking bad.

God help us all.

I would at least appreciate them occasionally working on actual bills, instead of always plotting ways to just get re-elected...

It really PO's me that NO ONE in either party appears capable of thinking for themselves, and ONLY vote along party lines for every damn thing.

Excepting the turncoat RINO's, of course, but I doubt their doing so out of thought and only do so for "favors."

Work for and vote for candidates that are FOR something, and work against and vote against all who are against everything.

I guess you want me to try to get democrats elected?  Because most of what they are for, I am against, and I want representatives who are against that shit too.

Edit to add; for some reason you guys are expecting the republicans with only 54 votes to reverse laws that the democrats could only get passed in the first place with 60 votes, and only just barely then.  I want to see Obamacare repealed (and replaced with NOTHING) as much as anybody, but a more realistic course is to pick off the most offensive bits of it a piece at a time, and then go for the full clean-up after 2018 when we will hopefully get a bigger majority in the senate.

If you thought mcstain would stand with his party and get rid of huseincare? You'd be delusional. But I doubt it. He has nothing to lose! He won his reelection and now the sand is running fast. The only reason flake didn't stand with him is because he is up for reelection.

Kelly Ward is our hope for getting flake out. McCain out spent her and I'm betting the same people will help flake. Hopefully with what McCain did people will remember flake is his political twin and remove him.

The one thing that worries me is with the liberal virus spreading to AZ from ca, co, ill, ny ,may change things here for the worst.

Political parties got us INTO this mess. I declare ANYONE who "votes the Party line" to be a TRAITOR who has put PARTY LOYALTY above NATIONAL LOYALTY!

I am an American who MOSTLY votes Republican, but I am an AMERICAN first! I vote my conscience, and I sleep well at night.

Two political parties.   One power base.  Like said, follow the money  And the truth of it is we are at fault.  How many seemingly honest sincere folks enter into politics poor as a church mouse and leave office just a few years later suddenly worth millions and we do nothing about it?

Curious why anytime citizen groups or grass root groups try to harness their combined energies for political change and such groups get surely sidetracked or derailed?  Wonder how that happens.  Can one imagine the road blocks we are going to face in the future to change things?

Frankly we as Americans have had it so good for so long that we think it is impossible that things could take a quick and nasty turn for the worse.  It is just not in our thinking.  That and the fact too many non deserving folks vote.  Until many big things change, things will stay the same.

It is the human condition to just ignore things until it is too late.  Only a small percentage recognize and understand future change.  Our job is to get many more like thinking Americans off the sofa and into the political arena.  We can make changes if we really want to.  Do we?  Oh boy!

Respectfully.

The only thing I expect is for my party to act like it is in the majority. Can't repeal Obamacare because of folks like Ms Murkowski, the Senator from your great state, I get it. I can't affect her tenure, only you can, and that is done in the primaries. As far as the ACA goes you are right, it barely passed with a democrat supermajority. However, where is tax reform? Where is the HPA? Where is Federal conceal carry reprocity? Where is smaller government? Where is balancing the budget? I can't think of a single bill of importance that Republicans in the House and Senate have placed on Donald Trump's desk to sign. Not a single one!!! Because they don't want to. They want our current POTUS to fail. Instead of taking this moment in history to affect real change legislatively, they have decided to take their ball home rather than face the fact that their base is tired of the broken promises. Trump did not win because Democrats crossed primary lines. That is what establishment Republicans want to believe. He won because the base is sick of politics as usual.

Coming from a life long conservative who voted for Ted Cruz in the primary and Donald Trump in the general, I am done with the Republican Party. Period. I hate the Democratic Party and everything they represent, but I will no longer continue to vote for only to be betrayed by a bunch of sniveling, lying, cowards. I still do not know who hates Trump more...Democrats or Republicans? One thing is for sure, his election has proven without a doubt to me that there is not much difference between the two in this present day and age.

No shortage of great points here. I feel a sense of urgency that if the ship does not get righted in a timely manner we will be stuck again with the dems railroading us into socialism. Most young voters do not inspire confidence for a free future. We have a generation of genuine suckers going to the ballot box and the power of their ignorance is a very strong force. We waited 8 long years for this opportunity and it is running through our fingers like sand.

There is always 3rd party option. Issue with that those that are tired of the 2 party system will not do the research to find out who is running and take the time needed to do so.

People who want to do away with the 2 party system want to do away with the Constitution, because the way it is set up makes it almost mandatory.  About the only stable system of government in which you can have more than 2 effective parties is the European parliamentary system, and with that you lose the separation of powers and bias against radical change that has always been the strength of the US' Constitutional Republic.

I do not buy into the 2 Party system. A healthy Democracy (or Republic) should have at least 5 Parties, With 2 Parties there is no need to negotiate more than one opinion. Party 1 says X. Party 2 says NO X. Y is never mentioned!

Real issue seems to be how you can go into the DC swamp and be worth millions with a salary that is less than $180K per year in a few years... Corruption is the only answer. A barkeepers son was elected and is worth $500,000,000 when he leaves office (Speaker John Boner, Ohio). He is a republican scumbag. Why are these people not investigated to find the source of that many dollars amassed without a product or service to sell?

Really great question that needs investigated thoroughly in each and every case.

Some of it will be the political version of insider trading. They know what laws are coming, invest accordingly, then reap the windfall.

Some is going to be pay to play, re: the Klintons, Slick Willie and Hitlary.

Hey Donald: Go get 'em!

With their efforts to discredit him, it would not surprise me if he started looking in their closets. It needs to happen.

Congress is EXEMPT from the laws they pass! Insider trading is their stock in trade! Congress critters get stock for votes and they are EXEMPT from prosecution. Research hot the Rail Roads were able to get 40 mile wide right of ways - by giving Congress critters huge blocks of stock!
