DLT 1,646
This is a saiga conversion question!!! Told you it was shocking. Anyway,in my haste to convert my recent pawnshop 7.62 find, I drilled and taped the wrong freaking bullet guide. I installed the CSS 223 bg thinking they are all the same. Not so, since it sits too tall and won't let the bcg close. I'll order a 7.62 after church today, my question is will the already drilled hole and screw lign up? HB of CJ 1,263
Dunno. You might end up with some extra holes. No big deal. Or ... perhaps so. Dunno yet.
evlblkwpnz 3,418
Maybe. If it doesn't and it is too close to allow a hole in the correct location, you might consider welding it in. If you weld it, put something into the chamber so as not to get slag in there.
DLT 1,646
I went ahead and placed the order. Maybe CSS will see this post and answer my question before I get the part.

DLT 1,646
Ok...part came in. And my biggest concern turned out to be real. The BG hole is in the wrong place. However, if I turn it around and install it with the end that is supposed to fit under the barrel towards the magazine, the hole lines up. So that's what I did. I now have a small lip protruding towards the mag . I compared it to my arsenal, and the BG on that rifle protrudes even further out towards the mag, so I think everything will work out fine. Mullet Man 2,114
My home made BG protrudes over the front of the magazine. Runs flawlessly. Edited September 1, 2017 by Mullet Man
