goldenpony 61
Any body got any suggestions for improving sights on my Saiga 12?
Mullet Man 2,114
Irons? Krebs rear ghost ring, Dinzag front sight block. But really what are you wanting to use them for?
goldenpony 61
I like to shoot in bowling pin matches. Gun shoots high with OE sights, have to compensate by aiming low.

YOT 3,743
That should do it.
gunfun 3,931
Krebs is good. I prefer the dinzag front sight, but the krebs peep rear is a good part.
goldenpony 61
How hard is it to remove the factory rear sight and replace it with the Krebs part? Any"tricks" I should know about?

Make sure the gas tube is supported before you try to drive the sight out. There are some lugs that lock into the trunnion and they may bend or break off if only the receiver is supported. Heartbreaker 1,085
How hard is it to remove the factory rear sight and replace it with the Krebs part? Any"tricks" I should know about? Use a dremel to cut across the sight almost all the way through. It will come out much easier.

goldenpony 61
Decided to drop off my Saiga at my local gunsmith to have the Krebs combat sights installed. I didn't want to muck up my nice gun. They are going press the rear sight out and the new peep sight in.
goldenpony 61
Got a 12 gauge laser bore sighter. Figured it ought to make it fairly easy to adjust new Krebs sight when I get the gun back.
goldenpony 61
Got my Saiga back from the local gunsmith. He installed my Krebs Combat sight set. Took her out back and ran some rounds through it and it seems pretty much right on. I bought a 12 gauge laser bore sighter and it seemed to help zero it in. Looking forward to running some more rounds through it before the bowling pin match comes around again. Edited September 26, 2017 by Baba Yaga

Looking forward to running some more rounds through it before the bowling pin match comes around again. Slugs move pins pretty efficiently. Even the lower velocity slugs. I had a bunch of pins a while back and used my home brews and irons or my shotgun scope, and could knock them down about as quickly as I could hope to keep on any target. Not a blind fire magdump speed, but not a whole lot slower.
