tbryanh 11
Anybody put a suppressor on a Vepr 308? What all needs to be done to mount the suppressor? What is the end results? Is the rifle way overgassed as a result? Etc?
gunfun 3,930
It has been done. It's still going to be a loud rifle just due to the Kalashnikov action. The main thing is that your o.d. of the barrel may not be true to the bore. If you are having the barrel threaded, make sure the smith has the ability to chuck the whole gun in his lathe and true to the i.d., not merely the OD of the bore. I recall on the other forum there was some discussion of an adjustible gas block being available from the foriegn version of the '54r model which would work. The Zastava equivalent also has a version with a nice 3 stage gas block. You have to remove the gas tube to change settings though.
