    New build

My newest build. Still trying to figure out sighting. Probably get a Texas dog leg dust cover. Gotta try and re-finish the handgaurd to match
  2. I'll get a pic up later paid 720.00 I pretty pleased with fit & finish.
  3. I was just notified by my local smith that he isn't able to attempt my project. Here's what I wanted to do. Pull my S-12 bbl out, cut it back and perm attach my poly-choke to bring it back to legal length. If anyone here has any inside info on this possibility . He claims that shotgun bbl's are too thin to pin and weld or even just welding will cause blistering. I thought this had been done by others here but didn't get very good search results. If there are any shops with decent turn around times i'm not above sending it out.
  4. I already have an ACE but for my other S-12 I like the looks of this stock. Anyone know where to find one or if there is a similar made in usa version?
  5. Ok here's the project. I want to build an underfolder stock for my RA M-96. I need some dimensions to start with and thought if I had a polyblock trunnion that it might be just the ticket as a starting point. Well both places that I found ads for them via google http://www.floridagunworks.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=FG&Product_Code=UAKBLK&Category_Code=AKA+AK+STOCKS and http://www.gungarage.com/ak_accessories.htm. kicked back my orders due to item being unavailable. Over on the XCR forum there was a guy who posted a pic of one he built but he ended up being a s

  7. I dont mind the fitting. one of mine required none and the other did. which shows just how much variation there is between guns.
  8. where to obtain "Polyblock" for underfolder?

  9. Don't get me wrong. If I suggested you buy a ford because its less problematic than a dodge someone somewhere out there is gonna disagree. I did not suggest you buy 1 only that you look at it i.e. research. I am pleased with mine. I also like my Saiga 12's and they have been the most problematic firearms I have ever owned. Does that mean they are crap? I don't like having to defend my choices to others who have already made up their minds. I can respect your opinion and hope that you can respect mine. after all they are just opinions right?
  10. I have known about Robarm for quite some time. Alex is a friend of mine for going on 20 years. The XCR is an awesome bullet launcher and deserves a look by potential buyers. I also have one of their original offerings. The M-96 based on the Stoner 63. I like both rifles.
  11. I thought about them for many years, back when they were like 259.00 but mags were impossible to find. I even got to shoot one but the guy didnt have a mag.(bought it used). The final decision came after the AWB died and MDA announced their drum and AGP's became available. I now have 2 converted , 1 I bought and did myself and 1 my brother bought and I did. He then had the unfortunate accident a week later and passed away having never shot it and I inherited his entire collection as per my 78 yr old mom who became the estate administrator.
  12. I actually liked the SIG better for smooth operation but the XCR for handleing and ergonomics so its really 6's either way.
