  1. Don't really know we just walked out and set up some targets that day but, just by judging I'd say not quite 100 yards.
  2. Thank you sir. You have saved me a bunch of headache and time on figuring it out myself.
  3. Hey, have you shot your 16" yet?! Man, my ears are still ringing from the last trip I took! I've shot it unconverted but, not like it is now. I'm having a problem with the safety. The problem is, there isn't one. If I pull the trigger, the hammer strikes even with the saftey on! I'm going to figure it out before I take it out for a test run. This is an eight round group before it was converted. I was impressed about the accuracy of this gun. It makes my 7.62x39mm AK grouping look like dog shit.
  4. They have them for $399.99 here in NC.
  5. It's not the wood one, it's the black composite one. I guess you have to do some trimming on it as well?
  6. Just wondering. It looks alot better the the stock 12 hanguard.
  7. I guess I could have been more specific. I'm really looking for any .308 caliber AR. That way I could buy .308 and use it in both my S.308 and an AR10 type platform. I have a 5.56/.223 DPMS now and while it's a great rifle I really would like something in a bigger caliber. I'm thinking about getting rid of the DPMS AR15 but, who knows I may just keep it for plinking.
  8. I know this isn't the AR forums but, I figured I'd ask anyway.
  9. Does anyone know who has one of these in stock?
  10. Has "not enough" been posted here yet?
  11. Thats funny! I knew the 7.62x54r would not chamber and fire in the Saiga 308-1. The reason I posted the pics and did the little experiment is because FrustratedInCali asked the question and felt insulted by some of the comments. I thought a few pictures would help explain things...a picture is worth a thousand words..by the way, my Saiga-12's chamber must be a little loose...The 7.62x54r cartridge just fell through all the way out the other end of the barrel on mine. You just have to use the right choke.
  12. I just tried some .308 win. in my S12 and it worked extraordinarily good. Also used it in my 7.62x39mm AK and it performed remarkably well so, I figured I'd try it in my 5.56x45mm/.223 AR15 and guess what, it performed exceptionally great. I may be getting a little overzealous but, I think I'm going to try the same with some 7.62x54 I have laying around tomorrow.
  13. Heck, that place is right down the road. I didn't even know it existed.
  14. Love my WASR. It groups as well or better than some of the other AK's I've had. With a scope it's even better. Here it is with my Saigas and my AR at the range the other day.
