As a longtime welder, stay away from oxy-acetylene (torch) welding, to much heat input required,will distort receiver you can use mig if he is good least heat input,but i myself would TIG it; neatest w/no splatter just my 2 cents worth Astrowrench

Hey BUD,couple of ideas 1 take the bolt out paint the bolt and innards w/ flat black shoot the the shit out of it see if anything shows up shiny and correct, sounds like kid shit; ,but it works,try 1911 lighter spring up front,check your ramp job carefully, right side about 2 o'clock could be ze problem don't start doin ports till u need too. you can get into e-z trouble i think sit back and think about your shit,you'll figure it out. Morning; that mount is an add on scope mount it is simply removed by flipping the rounded lever to the rear and sliding the mount off the gun there is no reason to take it off for std. conversion Astrowrench they are good mounts
