  1. I've seen the gun and handled it, but can't remember if it had dimples. I will have to check when I get the gun next week, but its new so it should have whatever is on the 2009 models. I'm actually completely new to AKs so pardon my ignorance, but I'm guessing these hold the mags in place on a normal military issue mag? Another question I had after some more reading is about the last shot bolt hold open. Its sounds like Saigas have this feature, but only when using factory or Surefire mags? I'm assuming this requires the installation of the BHO plate and lever, but is it true that you loo
  2. I bought a Saiga 7.62x39 and wanted to say thanks to everyone here for providing such a wealth of info on the conversion process. I put it on layaway last week (wasn't allowed to actually "buy" it because of MD's stupid 1 gun per 30 day law and didn't want it getting away) so I spent a whole lot of time reading. Thanks to this site I have now know what to buy and am very confident in how to approach my conversion.
