  1. I'd like to go ahead and put the slant muzzle brake on the rifle, I cannot do that unless I ~ remove the whole FSB block off OR cut off only the 24mm X 1.5 thread and re-thread the barrel. I did just that, cut the 24mm thread off and cut new 14x1 on the muzzle, which is ok where I live
  2. not much left of that squirrel after taking a round from a psl
  3. Horse-trying to avoid shipping to and from Nevada if its a quick fix. cowboy- dose the same thing with all 5 mags they insert fine, very snug when in the operating position, just when trying to remove them they stick
  4. I have been asked by a friend to look at his ak74. here's the problem, the magazines stick when removed from the well if not held forward while rocking them out. with the bolt removed I can see the feed lips hitting the tab at the front of the trigger guard. this is a Rifle Dynamics build on an Elk River receiver. I did compare this 74 with two other 47s. the front of the magwell hangs slightly over the edge of the trunnion. my friend would like some feedback from experts before I trim the front edge of the magwell to match that of the 47s, any feedback would help my friend sleep bett
  5. Is there much difference in the Krebs and the Tapco plate? I had to trim some of the Tapco to get it into my .308, but after the filing was done, it holds tight and it feels like cheating when field stripping. the tapco is a little larger. squared off on the at the tail end. looks to fit multiple applications. the krebs is minimal in design there is a diffrence in design between rifle and shotgun patters. looking at google pictures, I can see where the tapco could interfere with a bho.
  6. Jrp I put the fsc47 on my first 7.62 rifle and noticed a significant reduction in felt recoil and muzzle climb. just bought a saiga 7.62 and cut the 24mm threads off the front sight block to install the fsc47 havnt had a chance to shoot in the dark yet. I cant say enough good things about that break.
  7. Thanks Guys! the trigger dropped in, only stabbed myself once with the hammer spring. my list of upgrades is down to 1
  8. I just sold a romanian built ak in 7.62 to buy a saiga 7.62 I mean how cool is that to have the rifle in the original configuration from the factory the inventor still oversees!
  9. May I ask why? Arse-n-holes ship with US FCGs. The G2 has 0 free travel. I had a G2 on my first rifle and restored my S12 with a G2, I like the way the G2 feels and I like the uniformity across my long guns.
  10. Indy Finnaly got out to test a batch of longshot loads, and they work! have a batch of 50 to verify the load, need to make time to empty them. thank you for your input, it has been very valuable.
  11. I like the krebs plate. the original spring works well, as it was designed, but for those of us that don't take our recivers apart every day the plate is much easier. also the krebs plates Ive installed hold some axial tension on the fcg pins.
  12. hope you have good insurance.
  13. I cant seem to find this in searches. I just bought an arsnel saiga 7.62x39 Im going to swap the trigger with a G2 do I need to grind the hump off the hammer before installation, like my s12?
  14. the shark arrived today, and looks like new, my muzzle wont be necked anymore
  15. It'll be in the mail in the morning
