  1. I got my recoil pad from CSS for my KVAR Warsaw stock, cost $12.95... I'm happy with it... it says it will fit any AK style stock, including Tapco. Hope you find what your looking for! ;-) http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-363/AK47-Saiga-Orignal-Recoil/Detail
  2. I just read through this thread and didn't see it mentioned... what is the capacity going to be on these double stack mags? Thanks
  3. Yeah, I just grab some heat resistant flat black paint from Ace hardware (says its good up to 1000 degrees) Near perfect match, I used a hairdryer to speed up drying time between coats, seems real durable, I'm happy with the results.
  4. It is suppose to look like that, gives it character!...lol
  5. See, that's what I was wondering if it would stand up to heat...I think it would look sweet having the entire gun camo'd...
  6. I saw this on another forum, & just wondering if any of you have used this product, and if so how well does the finish hold up. Do you think it would work on a S12 receiver? Thanks http://www.camodipkit.com/patterns.htm
  7. I did like these guys said, and bent the selector switch arm, but I put masking tape on the receiver (to protect it from scratches) and then slid a butter knife (i know, but it works, lol) between the receiver and the selector arm, and just pried up on it till I got the desired results.
  8. Love the angled grip, I have the vertical on my ar and prefer the angled. Cool, I think I'll get one after I decide on which quad rail to get...decisions, decisions, lol
  9. Nice job, looks real good, how do you like the angled forgrip? Does it feel pretty comfortable? I personally like the looks of it better than the regular vertical forgrip...
  10. Yeah, its dremel model 395 (I think type 2, but don't know for sure, the sticker is worn off, lol) it has the variable speed from 5000 to 30,000 RPM's... (mine is the 120v model, not the cordless) I think the newer model is 395 type 5. Yeah like I said, definately a good investment, plus you can order replacement parts for just about anything if it wears out or breaks!
  11. The dremel is an awesome tool, its a shame I never messed with one in depth until I used it for this. Due to the fact it was so useful for this, I may have to get one of my own since I borrowed this one, along with a vice for (Hopefully) a next time LOL Yeah they definately pay for themselves, I've had my dremel since 95' & have abused the hell out of it cutting & grinding metal, and It's still going strong! LOL
  12. What everyone else said: its going to make for a long trigger pull because your moving the trigger group forward, but retaining the longer buttocks length. For approx.$40-50 more you could chose from 4 or 5 different stocks from CSS that come with the conversion kit. I would also recommend the axis retaining plate for $8. over the shepards crook that comes in the kit. Good luck...
  13. Looks pretty sick, good work...what length is your barrel, it hard to tell from the pic if you shortened it or if the camera cut it off taking the pic...lol
