  2. Just thought I would post victoriously, now that I have done my first Saiga conversion. What a blast!! I took yesterday to disassemble and paint, and like clockwork, my parts arrived today from Dinzag, only one week after I ordered them. Took part of this afternoon and got it done! Let me say this to everyone on the fence about doing work on their gun... go for it!! It really isn't very difficult and as nervous as I was with the bullet guide, I still didn't screw it up. The gun handles SO much better, the trigger is way better, and it was cool to see that Dinzag actually polishes the G2 ha
  3. I just picked up my second 7.62x39... and my first since I knew very much about these rifles. I ordered from Buds and requested a dimpled receiver if they had one. I ended up with dimples, "match striker" or velcro etching on right rear of receiver, no chamber step and what looks to possibly be a threaded barrel. I will be converting it but hadn't planned to mess with the front end. Maybe I'll change my mind. March 2009 manufacture, but also indicated in my paperwork is that "Reconservation of the product was made 2012.01.16." I'm guessing old stock, reimported. I'm excited about the d
