  1. Would using a larger dia. allthread than the 1/4" be a better idea since we have a larger dia.barrel than the AK? Put a piece of plastic tubing over it if you can't find brass.
  2. The Idea I had is to be able to use this on various equipment and molle seems to be the easiest to change from one piece of gear to the next. I can put this on a plate carrier, vest and even a 2.5" or smaller belt rig and make the changes fast if needed. By going with individually mounted I can have as many or few mags on me as I want. The tripple mag pouch looks great for competition shooting but I wanted something more versitale.
  3. Looks like 2 pouches fit on a Condor molle leg platform. They take up 3 molle wide x 7 high so might be tight on some rigs. I made this one where it will clip to a belt also if molle isn't wanted.
  4. Been playing with Kydex the last month and just got around to doing something for the Saiga-12 10 round mags. See what ya think. Need to make a 2nd one to complete the set.(covered it with camo cloth)

More for keeping the ammo dry than the drum protected. AN/PVS5 Goggle case sounds right.

I found this at a gun show last year for $12.00 and added the foam. I think it is an old NVG case.
  8. Looks like they must have used the lowest bidder on those springs. Chinese perhaps? Wonder if Wolf Gunsprings might have a replacement.
  9. I have seen Chinese clones on Amazon for $45.00.
  10. Why does the evil thoughts of hiding in the rough at a golf course and shooting the balls out of the air as they fly overhead come to mind when someone mentions shooting golf bals? Here are some grenade launchers http://www.autoweapons.com/products/destructivedevices.html
  11. As much cursing as the old Shepards Crook gets the thing works well and hasn't fallen out of my AK after untold rounds. Cheap and works, both good things if done together. Plates are an easier install though.
  12. Now for a tannerite mellon!! Make Gallager proud. Then again could be bad for your health. http://www.sheknows.com/entertainment/articles/953785/gallagher-stops-melon-smashing-after-heart-attack
  13. Whats with all the Mickie hate? My wife worked for the rat in Orland for several years and I know if you have had the misfortune to, you would have prefered not to have. If you want to launch golf balls get one of these for the AR it works very well and is easy to get blanks for.
  14. I think too many people think of supressiors making a gun "quiet" or where you can hear the guns action and not the retort of the fired round. We can thank Hollywood for that image. I for one am not interested in anything louder than a subsonic .22 through a can and so don't spend my money on a stamp, unless squirell hunting in the backyard. Here is a chart that will give you an idea of how many DB day to day items are. It shows a 12ga at 165db, (just a bit louder than Rock Music!) if you could cut that in half it is still very loud. When you look at a can see if it states the DB if not ask t
  15. I was thinking the same as Indy, that if you do go with a harder grade of bolt you might still be shearing it off due to it being more brittle. Don't know if it is do-able but you might have to increase the diamater of the screw by drilling and re-tapping the lug on the barrel to give you more "meat" to absorb the recoil. This wouldn't be a simple job either. Just wondering if something else is causing extra pressure on the screw that is more than it was designed to support? What you shooting Super Magnums?
