  1. I ordered the same thing on the 20th, I had no idea Kalinka was so shady. Lets hope we both get what we payed for!
  2. I live just east of the ATX off of Hwy 71E. Just got a shiny new S12 a week ago. Have yet to fire it and already feel inadequate. Would love to have a club and find any one with experience and knowledge. Shoot me a message. Im in Austin. I haven't been posting in a while, but I drop in from time to time. I have a S12, S20, and S.308. I have a buddy who lets us shoot on his land sometimes. I dont know of anywhere around here thats very fun.... Eagle Peak is ok. I'd love to get together and blast off a bunch of Saigas together though
  3. im itching to get my first hog with the .308!
  4. yea like moose said, you need to pull the retainer spring off first. i didn't realize it either when I did my conversion. once that thing is off they should pull right out. getting it back on is the real fun part. use an E-clip or get the RSA retainer or something similar. you can re-use the spring, its just a pain in the ass
  5. aren't saiga shotguns made to fire steel cased rounds? I wonder if they will get 20ga as well

    RSA trigger

well you can call bullshit, thats fine. i was merely stating my opinion, not fact. i never said that a G2 FCG would not work, only that it takes more time and patience. how is that bullshit? i had considerable trouble with it on my VERY FIRST CONVERSION. i saved the trigger group for my next one. I got tired of tinkering with every damn piece of the G2. If its so damn easy why dont you post a pic showing what a modified version of the G2 looks like in comparison to a non-modified version? It does take effort and time and without knowing what your doing you can easily mess it up. Als
  7. Gunbroker.com and he only lives 1.5 hrs from me so i get to pick it up and save all the transfer fees too. sweet score, cant wait to take the saiga family out now
  8. er mags i guess. i was just excited by my find

    RSA trigger

do yourself a favor and get the RSA trigger group if you plan on doing the conversion yourself. If you have the tools and the know how it isn't that hard. I just did my first conversion a couple of weeks ago. I went with a G2 trigger group first, dont even go near that damn thing unless you have alot of patience and grinding and polishing equipment. the RSA trigger is made for .308s, so spend the extra cash and save yourself a severe headache. and yes it is drop in ready, although probably not like you think. you still have to assemble the FCG inside the reciever with the axel pins and s
  10. i just got a saiga 20 with a 19 inch barrel and 4 5 round mags too for $240! i cant wait to get it and shoot it. i think i am officially addicted to saigas now that I have 2
  11. I found a saiga 12 with a 22" barrel for sale for $330 used + shipping. unconverted of course, is this a good deal to pick up right now?
  12. heh, i was just coming here to link this to the boards. Go sign it people!
  13. i picked up a non-imported Soviet model in near perfect condition at the last gun show here. turns out its CR eligible too! apparently the one i found is pretty damn rare and sells for over $600. got mine for $385 its the nicest mak i've ever seen I was told a soldier brought it back from afghanistan recently.
