OK WTF to do now I gave the gunsmith this site and now he changed his story now he is saying he has people complaining about the bullet guides coming loose has anyone had problems with them? Either im gonna have to find another gunsmith or DIY, has anyone used a hand drill to install bullet guide or is it not recommended?

who ever said that doesn't know what he is talking about. If you don't want to install a bullet bullet guild, you must only use Saiga Mags or.... MasterMolder mags....which are reported to work without a bullet guide..... that said.....get the guide.....then you can use any AK mag you can lay your hands on at any time.....they are not too hard to install either. OK thanks for info thats what I thought you would need a bullet guide for standard ak mags but he says otherwise

OK I understand all of this but gunsmith was telling me its a waste of money, the only difference between a saiga mag and standard AK mags are the saiga mags lips are grinded down to a alot. There fore a bullet guide is not needed.

Hi there has anyone had problems with standard AK mags in there Saiga rifles? My FFL lets me use there equipment on the weekends if there not real busy, so I asked gunsmith about me using there drill press for installing one of Dinzig's bullet guide in my rifle. The gunsmith was telling me he did one for a person a couple of weeks ago and the guy was complaining about certain mags would not work in has rifle, he told the gunsmith that Bulgarian worked but Romanian, and Chinese would not.

Hi everyone I did a conversion of my Saiga rifle now how do I get it to take regular AK mags? I know I have to buy a bullet guide and file down mag release is that all I need to do, or is there more modifications?

thinking of doing a .308 next I know they have a 30.06 but don't how to convert it or if it can take hi-caps mags.

Thanks I took me almost a month to do originally I have taken it a local gunsmith to do the conversion, after talking to him he didn't know how to do it and wanted me to supply instructions which was no proplem and them he told me in would cost $450.00 dollars for him to do it for that price I would have sent it to Tromix someone who knows what there doing but decided to do it myself frustrating at times learned by trial and error.

Hi everyone just finished my conversion on my first Saiga just wanted to see if I have the part count right AK floding stock,AK SAW style pistol grip, and a G2 FCG. Here are some pictures not as fancy as others I have seen but it is a start.

Hello all I just purchased a Saiga and went to range today when I use wolf ammo no problem, but with American ammo when I squeeze trigger sometimes 2-3 rounds come out at once. What can cause this or how can I fix this problem?
