  1. I am going to try and get my reloading stuff setup tonight, and possibly load up some new .410 loads I got my new .410 today a little side by side double hammer coach gun made in china only cost 257.00 at Dunham sports Here it is http://www.centuryarms.biz/proddetail.asp?prod=SG1058%2DN I was planning on getting an import gun over under .410 for like 330 that I think Benelli was importing, but there another 2 months out and this is 100 bucks less, sofar I like it will see how she shoots tommorow. Will try and take pics of a shell unloaded with all the parts so you can see. Edi
  2. Actualy the glue in the pic is probably gorila glue, you can use most glues but thicker is better because it wont leak into the shot as easily. I used gorilla glue because I have a ton of it and I like how it expands, you use very little then with a razor cut off the extra in the morning, or you could leave it I suppose I have been cutting it off for the most part though. What I originally read was to use some kind of egg glue or something, don't remember what its called but you get it at the pharmacy I think it was, anyhow I said bah with that and just used what I had.
  3. I use 1/4" cork you can also get 1/8" but I haven't tried it yet, should sell it in your local hardware store I got mine at Menard's, comes in a bunch of different formats can get a package of like 10 1'x1' "boards" or in bigger sheets or even in rolls for the 1/8" For the overshot wad "the one you glue in" I use any type of hard paper lately I have been using the cardboard from my fathers cigarette tube boxes its pretty thin laminated or slick anyhow cardboard. You can use just about anything and its probably good to experiment I haven't much yet.
  4. I just tried it with my fathers saiga, doesn't work with mine you must be lucky they hang up on the guide rod thing before the chamber and ruin the case had one also hang up on edge of chamber, may be because I don't crimp mine at all and in a semi auto I can see why it would be a good idea. I was reloading for a revolver so didn't really matter I may crimp from now on if I get some 2 1/2" mags for his gun. I will still probably use glue as well because of how thin of a wad im using but will see. heres a pic as you can see the far left one hung up and dented in the one side of the
  5. How about telling us a little about yourself?

  6. You don't have any problems? I thought I had tried it in his and it didn't work, hrm will try it in the morning. Was pretty sure I tried 2 1/2's in his 3" magazines and it didnt work. Anyhow the real reason im replying Its a Pittsburgh Deep Throat Metal Punch item 91510 I know I got mine off ebay for real cheep but looks like Harbor Freight has them for 25 bucks http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/disp...temnumber=91510 Yes it looks like overkill but it really does a buetifull job, I tried the hand punches that you put your material on a table then beat with a hammer, the
  7. Being a gunsmith I have quite a few crap mags laying around and I was just thinking about making my own 10ish round mags for my fathers saiga, actualy was going to go do it today but didn't feel well so im still here "my shop is at my parents house still I just moved" anyhow I will try to remember to update this if it works out ok and or if I start selling them, From the preliminarly measurements it very well may work will take some tweaking but I have worked on mags before for my 6.8 rem spc. Right now im thinking about making 10+ round 2 1/2" mags The reason im looking at 2 1/2" is I rel
  8. I just use .444 brass for .410 reloads its the same dimensions basically and what people have been doing ever since they stopped making .410 brass also you can resize .303 brit and for 3" theres a rare catridge you can resize don't recal what it is offhand if you do a search for .410 brass reloading on google you should find a few really good sites on it. Also you don't need to crimp the end of the case that sounds like a heck of a hassle, you can just glue in a card wad on the end I find laminated paper works pretty well. Both .444 brass and .303 brit are a lot cheeper than buying ".
