  1. Did anybody else notice that both of those receivers were double y stamped? Don't see many of those on semis.
  2. I like my 590A1, but the 870 PO-lice gets my vote.
  3. This happened 14 miles from my house. The double creek area where he was found is pretty far off the beaten path. Most people are speculating that he got too close to some paraniod pot grower or meth makers property.
  4. Thanks for the link, those are more complete instructions than I can give. If I buy another set I would like to try the rit dye method, go for that real russian red as hell look. This is what I have for "red" on mine... is this red enough for ya? Yep, looks good.
  5. Was pressing a barrel out of a Yugo trunnion with my shop press, it was'nt moving fast enough to suit me so I just kept cranking on the jack handle, being from Kentucky I like to go barefoot as much as possible and was that day, when the barrel finally let go it shot down and dead centered my big toe splitting the nail all the way down. Both items can be found at Dinzag's site, www.dinzagarms.com East80, I'd be interested to know how you stained both sets of furniture. They turned out real nice. Thanks, For the blonde set I followed the same sanding steps as previously posted but used a stain and polyurethane 1 coat mixture made by minwax, the color is classic oak. I also used some wood conditioner before application which helps the stain soak in evenly without splotches and has a tendency to lighten the
  8. If you buy from Ironwood it will already be close to finish sanded but you will still have to do the final sanding. To get a really nice result this is the most important step. I started with 180, 220 and 320 grit sandpaper, did'nt use much of the 180 grit. Start with 220 and only back up to 180 if you have an imperfection that is slow to remove with 220, try to get out every imperfection no matter how small because once you stain and clear coat it they will stand out. Sand in the direction of the grain, I have better luck outdoors in natural sunlight, it seems to help in seeing the small stu
  9. All of ironwoods stuff comes bare, I stained it myself using red mahogony, am very happy with it even though it did'nt come out as red as I had intended. Bought another set for my Mak 90 and did it blonde.
