Here is mine. Love the POSP scope, first chevron for 100 yards, put the target between the bottoms of the legs on the first chevron for 200 yards, and use the second chevron for 300. Need to get to a bigger range.

Here is mine. Its Tapcorific!

This is where I welded a bullet guide and virtually destroyed my rifle. The front trunion shrank and the bolt wouldn't go forward. Luckily I fixed it with a little dremel here and a little filing there.

The internal parts I've seen have a little "US" raised on the steel. Sure its a technical formality, but look at it this way, you're replacing good parts with better parts!

I prefer the parts that say USA or made in the USA on them. As long as you've got the receipt though it shouldn't matter.

All of the Tapco stuff says made in the USA on it.

Cobra 76 two,

I used my tiny little hobby files to widen the trunion just a little. I could get the bolt to go past the first part of the front trunion but could not get the lugs to lock.

I figured out that my bullet guide was too wide on the right side, so I dremeled it way down. Then I could get the lugs to lock but it was tight. had to use a rubber mallet to get the bolt back open by banging on the bolt carrier handle.

Then my bro bead blasted the inside of the front trunion. I just got it back from him a week ago. everything seemed to work, but the bolt still gets wedged forward tight when I load a round. I oiled the heck out of it and put a 10 round chinese mag in and blasted away. It ate any ammo I fed it after that.

The bolt still sticks a little when I let it slam forward but it works! No failure to eject and no jamms!

My last 7.62x39 all home brew and abuse like hell and still kicks some
butt, well in a no distant future it earned a new finish I don’t know if
go camo or black.

By the way the pics don’t make justice to the gun, but until no new finish
on it, no real good pics.

spike on

no spike

Kymasabe,
I love the look of your stock. Its very differnt than most of the Saigas from our friends. But how does it perform??
Maybe you could give us some of the pro or cons you have experienced with it.

Anyone know where I could get a wooden stock like Kymasabe's made in the USA? Too late to ask Santa now!

Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?" (Patrick Henry, 3 J. Elliot, Debates in the Several State Conventions 45, 2d ed. Philadelphia, 1836)
