nah, this was my first conversion and before i had the CAA I had a thumbhole stock. I do like the CAA stock tho, especially with the adj. cheek rest. One thing I had to do tho was shave a little off the pistol grip nut I got from CSS to make the grip fit tight, but I think its just cuz every gun's a lil different...
Yea, not american made (not worried tho cuz I'm still 922r compliant) but overall a good product in my opinion...

Tapco T6 Stock (left over from the Saiga Intrafuse pack that I foolishly bought when I 'wasn't going to convert')
ATI Strikeforce PG
Tapco G2 pre-modded trigger group
Tapco US-made mags (for now)
Dinzag Bullet guide

The Evil Black Rifle™ gun case.

Close-up of my bolt carrier. Unfortunately I only have 150 grit emery paper at the moment, and I need something rougher to get the deeper dings, divots and scratches out. Still shiny in the meantime though, enough to take a nice fingerprint.

I have a question about that last pic though. If you can see it, there's a gap between the front trunion and the upper hand guard(think those are the correct terms). I dont know if thats supposed to be flush or not and i can actually see the gass piston in there. BTW mags empty. Any comments are much appreciated. Thanks, Patrick.

Nice rifle man.
I think it's good, my draco is the same way and it shoots fine. It's probably to let the gasses escape so it the bolt carrier doesn't beat up the rear trunnion.
Now what good is a gun with empty mags

Thats a tough one... Looks like a Hogue grip.. but mite could be an Ergo Sure Grip Rubber (Ergo 4236BK) .. Either one is pretty decent if you like rubber lined grips..

Set my sights on trying to break her off those bad ArmyGuard habits.. So we started with an intro to the "Evil Ak47" and now a few months later she is a true convert from AR15 lala land. Actually convinced her to pick up a Saiga 5.45... so Saiga project V.02 pics will be soon to follow.

Thanks man, I wish I could but looking for work right now. but one thing I will say, is really not hard to get a gun
looking nice in a way.
I have see a Saiga done really good with minimal work. The guy use the ace front side hood that installs on the
gas block and use the saiga regular front hand guard, he send the hand guard to be drill on the front like that
it will accommodate the screws from the easy ACE hood plus he remove the front sight block thread the barrel
to accommodate a barrel nut and a flash hider, plus install a pistol grip were supposed to go and install a
NATO size butt stock and the gun really look nice.

Hey brother sorry I dont saw you post and question, the one on the left the .223 is a Krebs FSGB that he used to made but dont it made any more
the one on the right the 7.62x39 is a bulgarian FSBG combination used to be sold by k-var FSBG the threads were machine out by Dinzag
same as the index sleeves on both guns.
