brighamr 0
Forgive my noobness, but I'm assuming it is different to convert an S12, than it is for a 762x39? If so, has anyone done a "how to convert a saiga 12" faq? I'm buying a stock S12, and really just want to install a pistol grip, move the FCG, and side folder stock. (I'm not worried about all the cool addons at this point, just want to make it to where the S12 is comfortable to shoot). also, are there any members here from Montana? If you'd be interested in helping me convert my first saiga, I could make it up to you via extra mags or something. Let me know. Thanks!
1liter 20
The guts of the shotgun are very similar to the rifle. You use the same US made FCG (trigger group), the same butt stock, and the same pistol grip as the rifles.
ernestmayhand 10
I'm willing to donate my video production company's services and the required parts to do a "how to" conversion video specifically for the S12 (with my stock gun on the operating table of course). Would even do a DVD to sell for recouping to make it worth the time. I'm in Seattle though, don't know how many of you guys are up in here in the Northwest. I take trips to Houston once in a while and I remember seeing a guy on here from there so maybe he's interested if he reads this or if somebody knows who I'm talking about put me in contact with him. hobbyshooter 59
I found a tapco AK stock & grip for $41 total shipped from Direct Outdoor Supply. Both in black. I know it's not going to be the best looking, but it's a budget improvement over the out of box hunting stock.
brighamr 0
video would be AWESOME. Seriously, I'll be the first to buy a copy if you make one! Thanks to the other replies as well, I'm going to buy the parts in advance and hopefully try the conversion under direction of a gunsmith (I'd hate to ruin a brand new gun )
ernestmayhand 10
That would be me, and I'd be glad to be of assistance. I'll send you a pm with my email. Don't have a solid date when I'll be in Houston right now but time will tell. Edited February 29, 2008 by ernestmayhand
