Dito for me I have a 1pn58 that also has a red led for the reticle illumination, but it doesn't seem to work. I think the red on green would contrast better than green on green. Also am looking foe some spare batteries for it. They are the rechargeable 1.5V LARGE button cells that stack five together in series in an aluminum housing.

I've been looking around for a PSO/PSOP scope. The one in STALKER (videogame) is green and it looked fantastic. Is there just one LED to light all the lines and rangefinder marks?

here's a pic from the game:

Hi SCOUTSOUT2000_IN_AK

The 1PN58 should use a white /clear bulb, you will not see red through this scope as the image you are seeing is projected on a small tv screen that only shows green, i dont think it is possible to see a red reticule through it. did your 1PN58 come in its metal transit case with all accessories? i am after the 1PN58 model now as i already have the rarer NSPU.

Yes a single lamp is used to light the whole rangefinding reticule, i own an original PSO-1 scope, it only cost me £36 in total.
i now have several spare bulbs, they are all of the original 2.5v incandescent bulb type and they are in their original cartridges too.
