Dang! On Friday, he was a mod and I come in this morning and he's been banned! How'd that happen? I have searched the forum and the only thing I found was a quip about how Juggernaut got promoted. No argument, no calling anyone a MF, no bad language.... What happened?

There were a lot of developements regarding the Saiga-12 drums last night while ya'll were asleep.

I was checking updates to THIS THREAD and noticed Cobra's "group" had changed from "Moderator" to "Banned"...

While this situation has left a lot of us wondering "WTF?", I am willing to wait for Bvamp to chime in about what happened. I would like to hear from Cobra what happened too, just for balance...
As distressing as this situations seems, I am not as concerned about the banning of Cobra and Mike Davidson, but I have fundemental problems with statements like this...



Jim Zumbo and several others like him think the same way. The last thing any of us needs to do is assist or encourage the ATF in banning anything. PERIOD!
They do enough of that on their own and we already work for the IRS... I call "B.S." on getting any government agency (Local, State or Federal) involved in this. Bvamp's statement is so irresponsible on so many levels, I don't even know where to begin.

However, barring any egregious or huge rule violation, I would like to see Shannon back.

Cobra's absence from the forum is a significant loss of valuable advice and technical knowledge. It would be a shame if this decision were irreversible. A full disclosure of the circumstances and rationale of the banning decision would allow others to form their own opinions as to its appropriateness or not. Even so, this is a forum, not a democracy, but at least we'd understand better.

Yes,yes yes. I'm just a little stunned by this news. I would like to think that someone like Cobra would get more than one chance, but I dont know the whole story either.

Still don't know how to wrap my head around this one.
Cobra has been around here as long as can remember & many have benefited from his knowledge. Just can't imagine him just gone after one disagreement.

Hope we can get the full story soon.

I, too will have to chime in on that note...I have not been on this list nearly as long as most of you, but in that short time, I have come to rely on input from Cobra (certainly among others as well...) for great advice, technical knowledge, and a warm wit. Certainly that is the stuff that a successful forum should be made up of.
Maybe just lightly whack his pee-pee and let him back????
