My friend from work, who is knowledgeable in firearms, has said that activity has started up again on HB 1022. Can anyone confirm anything? I'm going to contact NRA about this on Monday.

Contact your federal and state legislators...that would be a better choice.

We need to make our position perfectly clear. We will NOT give up our rights. PERIOD. Sign petitions, send letters to you'r local,State and Federal elected officials, write letters to the editor , send E-mail and snail mail.- whatever legal means that we have at our disposal.
Maybe we need to get together and have mass gun cleanings?
Rent a large hall and clean our "assault weapons" en mass - politicians seem to be sight learners, so let's give them a visual of who they are fucking with.
The gungrabbers want to tell a lie that only criminals want these weapons, so let's create media circuses that show that to be a lie.
The image of 200 honest citizens cleaning their gun together will discourage the politicians (cowards that they are) and show the claims of the gungrabbers to be the lies that they are.

I think a mass cleaning is a hilarious idea. How many of us have guns we need to clean?! If you didn't raise your hand, you don't shoot often enough.

I just took a look at the chamber of my 10/22, holy shit. I put a light at the end of the barrel and glanced down it quickly, not really looking for anything. But then I had to look again, and sure enough, you cannot even tell that that barrel has rifling anymore.
