These pictures are from a Portland, Oregon war protest in which portestors(presumably made of the "peaceful" and "tolerant" Left) burn an effigy of a U.S. Soldier and an American flag.
They don't even have the sacks to show their faces.

Here's one from another part of it (?). Note the white banner. Cute, huh? Yellow fuckers.

As my son said before he left for third tour, (volunteered) If it wasn't for the whinners, weisels, and wackos who only care about themselves, or their blame America ( selfish socialist agenda). It would be over by now. Our enemies know to many selfserving asses who will sacrifice the innocent to protect themselves. The only real mistake was trying to be politically correct in the fight. There's an old saying - It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove any doubt.
The troops don't make policy, they follow orders. Showing disrepect for the people that selflessly offer up their time, efforts, limbs, and lives in service to others is foolish, and it only discredits their position.

I want to believe pic that to be photoshopped, but i suspect there are people that stupid out there....
I am not a big fan of the leadership these days, but the troops enjoy my full support, with the caveat that just because they are following orders does not mean they are above the law.........warriors and soldier are supposed to have honor.....i know that may not be true of our current enemy, but we sure as hell shouldn't sink to their levels.....things like Abu Ghraib worry me, but again i think those things happened with approval at some level in our leaderhsip and the soldiers paid the price.
Sicken me as it does, protesters have the right to speak their mind.....and it is the right that makes this nation great, not subject matter they address with it.

I don't sweat these punks!
Heres why,
I walked through a county courthouse square
On a park bench, an old man was sittin' there.
I said, "Your old court house is kinda run down,
He said, "Naw, it'll do for our little town".
I said, "Your old flag pole is leaned a little bit,
And that’s a ragged old flag you got hangin' on it".
He said, "Have a seat", and I sat down,
"Is this the first time you've been to our little town"
I said, "I think it is"
He said "I don’t like to brag, but we’re kinda proud of
That Ragged Old Flag
"You see, we got a little hole in that flag there,
When Washington took it across the Delaware.
and It got powder burned the night Francis Scott Key sat watching it,
writing "Say Can You See"
It got a rip in New Orleans, with Packingham & Jackson
tugging at its seams.
and It almost fell at the Alamo
beside the Texas flag,
But she waved on though.
She got cut with a sword at Chancellorsville,
And she got cut again at Shiloh Hill.
There was Robert E. Lee and Beauregard and Bragg,
And the south wind blew hard on
That Ragged Old Flag
"On Flanders Field in World War I,
She got a big hole from a Bertha Gun,
She turned blood red in World War II
She hung limp, and low, a time or two,
She was in Korea, Vietnam, She went where she was sent
by her Uncle Sam.
She waved from our ships upon the briny foam
and now they've about quit wavin' back here at home
in her own good land here She’s been abused,
She's been burned, dishonored, denied an' refused,
And the government for which she stands
Has been scandalized throughout out the land.
And she’s getting thread bare, and she’s wearin' thin,
But she’s in good shape, for the shape she’s in.
Cause she’s been through the fire before
and i believe she can take a whole lot more.
"So we raise her up every morning
And we bring her down slow every night,
We don’t let her touch the ground,
And we fold her up right.
On second thought
I *do* like to brag
Cause I’m mighty proud of
That Ragged Old Flag"

we had some shady types burn a flag the morning of 9/11 here and dance around on it. not only are both brothers either dead or crippled for life (not sure which, dont really care), but thier store is no longer in existance. it was burned to the ground that night and has since been replaced with a walgreens.
if you burn MY flag, I wont just stand there. neither will my friends family or neighbors. you have signed your own death warrant in my eyes, and I dont give two craps who you are and what the law says.
this is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I think maybe ill go throw a burning copy of the koran (yes, i intentionally misspelled it), on a mosque stoop later. if those fuckers can burn MY flag? I can burn THIER book. I think I will go light the mexican flag hanging at the house in town too, later, while Im at it.

Watching those hippies and these vile swines
Burning our flag like 'cause they didn't care
But that to us it wasn't fair
There they stood they stared with no chance
'Cause we were there bats in hand
The time was right, the time to fight
The time to attack with all our might
Don't you burn our flags, these colors will not run
Don't you burn our flags our colors will never run
We fought to win, we fought to defeat
Laid out bodies is all we could see
You could hear the cries, you could smell the blood
Don't worry it was us kicking some butt
We did them good, we did them right
We did what we do best put up a good fight
Taking matters into our own hands
It's the policy for this land

I have no use for flag burners, and hate the message they are sending, but according to the constitution and the Supreme Court, that is protected under free speech. they tried to get an constiutional amendment passed last year, almost had enough support, but not quite....
I personnally don't like to see the Constituion fucked with just because someone finds something objectionable. Just as with stripping our rights little by little under the second amendent, stripping bits and pieces of our rights under the first is not acceptable.
I hate it when i see shit like this, but if we open that door once, how do we stop the next step, like banning public assembly?
Is what we see in Oregon a step too far?.....HELL YES....several steps too far.
Is asking the rest of us to give up a freedom (any freedom...no matter how small) so that 100 wackos in Oregon can't burn a flag and hurt someone feelings a step too far?.....IMHO....again....HELL YES!

Burning a flag isn't speech. It's an action. And it isn't in the Constitution. The Supreme Court may have inturpreted it that way but they're human. Human's make mistakes. It's just one we have to live with. Wonder why they don't think burning a cross in someone's yard isn't fredom of speech.

I wonder, if the ruling on flag burning were changed, could it be considered an act of treason? Western Oregon and Western Washington are full of idiots. I think it was Washington where in the 90's they discovered that their state still had a law stating that blacks could not own property. Sad thing is, the atempt to ammend it almost didn't pass.
<bangs her head against the wall>
If I'm wrong on that one, please correct me.
I firmly believe that there's room in this country for everyone... except people who don't want to be here. You'd think they'd move on their own. <rolls eyes> Thing is, they want to force everyone else to believe as they do. There's not much you can do except ignore them until they cross a legal boundary.
As for soldiers feeling bad after seeing this thread: The belief that people should be kept from possibly having "Hurt Feelings," is the reason that we have "Political Correctness." I don't want to see us go that way. It's not a matter of being "better" than anyone. It's about upholding our ideals by acting on our beliefs. With that said, please don't delete this thread.
